Champion sire Lonhro finished Book One of the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne as the leading stallion by average. Highlighted by a $440,000 colt,
Lonhro led the way with a healthy average of $300,000 for his four lots sold over the three-day session.
Lonhro’s success continued on day two with lot 167, a colt from the Blue Gum Farm draft who was a brother to Gr3-placed Brockhoff for $440,000.
This was followed by lot 283, a colt out of Tahnee Tango from Milburn Creek selling for $260,000.
Lonhro’s first yearling to go through the ring on day three was a filly from Blue Gum Farm out of unraced mare Chalonne, a three-parts sister to Gr2 winner Innovation Girl and dam of Group winner Incumbent, who sold for $250,000.
Lonhro’s final lot of the day went for $250,000, a filly out of Five Star Belle who is a half-sister to Gr1 winner Aragen, catalogued as lot 481 from Lauriston Thoroughbred Farm.
These results follow on from 4 yearlings being offered in the Magic Millions for an average of $185,000 and Dynamic Syndications buying the only LONHRO offered in the Inglis Classic.
Whilst 7 lots are catalogued for the upcoming Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.
That’s only 16 yearling in Australia and 1 in NZ available from a foal crop of only 57 live foals. The balance being retained by their breeders.
There have been
no other LONHRO progeny being offered in Australia in 2017. They are as rare as hen’s teeth.
DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS purchased lot 538 at the Inglis Classic from NEWGATE FARM.
This was our only purchase at the sale. We went to the sale to only add a yearling if it was a top type with a top pedigree.
LONHRO needs no introduction with 706 winners, 66 Stakes Winners and 55 Stakes placed horses on his resume.
Our colt is from the Gr1 Winning sprinter IMANANABAA. She won 5 races -1 at 2- at 1200m to 1400m including the AuRC Railway Hcp. Gr1 and was multiple Gr1 placed.
As a broodmare our colt is IMANANABAA’s 5th foal, with 4 to race, 2 winners, 2 placed.
Such is the quality of this individual that NEWGATE FARM have purchased back into the colt to race as a co-owner with Dynamic Syndications, in the hope that with Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, he may polish into a Stallion Prospect.
Our Colt
5% Shares in this quality colt are $7,650 inc GST and all costs to 31 July 2017.
