It has been a busy 7 days for champion racehorse and sire Lonhro, whose progeny have won 9 races throughout Australasia at various meetings.
Last Saturday kicked things off for the Son of Octagonal who continues to do the job at stub when rising star, Mental, was virtually untested in winning a listed 3yo event over 1600m in Brisbane.
Mental has been an absolute star son of Lonhro since winning his maiden at Newcastle in September of last year.
The one time Stradbroke favourite has managed to win 6 of his last 8 start including some dominant black type victories.
Lonhro also produced two more winners on Saturday; A Hong Kong winner, Bear Elite, who managed to lead all the way to salute at big odds and a Swan Hill winner in Lady Francesca.
Tuesday also proved fruitful for the Lonhro, who currently sits second on the general sires list behind Fastnet Rock, as he produced another 3 winners.
These winners were; Fancy Pants who won at Muswellbrook, Fashion Wah Wah who was a Warrnambool winner with his final winner coming at Townsville when Balustrade won nicely.
This run of threes continued yesterday with winners in three separate states (NSW, Victoria and Adelaide) at their respective metropolitan meetings.
The most impressive out of this triplet of winners was Lovemelongtime who looked extremely comfortable in the heavy going at Sandown winning by a big margin.
Elsewhere was also an impressive winner at Gawler when Matthew Neilson produced another 10 out of 10 ride to win on yet another lovely Lonhro mare.
Our own unnamed Lonhro/Fine Society filly to be trained by Chris Waller at Rosehill was very quick to be snapped up and appears to be coming along nicely.
Our own Lonhro/Fine Society filly - a cracking type
Her half brother in South Africa, Political Playboy, recently running a fourth in a quality race after 3 wins on the trot. This achievement made all the more impressive by the fact that he only has one eye.
Our filly appears to be a lovely 3yo type and is currently enjoying her time in the paddock out at Oakridge which is the main spelling farm Dynamic Syndications use.
We are extremely hopeful that our filly can produce some excellent results on the track when we see her begin her racing career.
Stay tuned to the website for more information on our lovely Lonhro filly.
