The final day of Summer in Sydney ended on a high for Arrowfield Stud with three (3) Randwick Group Stakes Race victories added to the records of their sires The Autumn Sun (by Redoute’s Choice), Castelvecchio (by Dundeel) & Snitzel (by Redoute’s Choice).

The Autumn Sun - Sire
The Autumn Sun’s superlative daughter Autumn Glow posted her first Group 1 win under weight-for-age conditions, in the $1 million ATC Verry Elleegant S. 1600m G1, with Aeliana (by Castelvecchio) an impressive runner-up with Sir Delius 3.8 lengths away, third.

Autumn Glow
Autumn Glow's jockey James McDonald said, “Her demeanour, her presence, she knows she’s so good. She just breathes so well and so push-button. She’s got an incredible turn of foot.”
That acceleration was evident despite the Soft 5 track and the 1:35.55 overall time: Autumn Glow ran her final 600 metres in 33:05, the fastest time of the day.
Chris Waller, trainer of both Autumn Glow said, “It’s getting to that stage now where it’s a relief when she wins. She was made to work today but she was second-up at the mile and I think there is still a bit of improvement to come which we will need in the next few runs. She is a star.”
Autumn Glow has won all 10 of her starts, with 7 of them at Group level, including the Epsom H. Gr1, plus the Golden Eagle last Spring, and her prizemoney now exceeds $8 million. All going well, her next appearance will be in the $1 million George Ryder S. G1, with Aeliana heading to the $1 million Ranvet S. G1, both at Rosehill on Golden Slipper day, 21 March.
From the South African Champion Sprinter Via Africa (by Var) and pinhooked from Magic Millions into the Inglis Easter Sale by Silverdale Farm, Autumn Glow is raced by Arrowfield & Hermitage Thoroughbreds who purchased her for $1.8 million as a yearling.
Autumn Glow winning the Verry Elleegant S. G1 claimed the third-longest record of consecutive wins in Australian turf history, after Hall of Famer Black Caviar (retired unbeaten with 25 wins) & Barakey (11 wins before his first defeat).
Dynamic Syndications were keen on a particular daughter of THE AUTUMN SUN bred by Arrowfield Stud at the Magic Millions. We purchased Lot 700 who we identified has a high opportunity to earn racetrack success and take that into the breeding shed upon racetrack retirement. She appears a magnificent dual purpose thoroughbred investment.
A bay filly by THE AUTUMN SUN x PRINCESS NOIR (JPN). Her dam was placed as a 3yo in Japan before being sent to Australia for stud duties, to be specifically mated with Redoute’s Choice line sires. Bred on the successful Redoute’s Choice over Sunday Silence cross that has produced 12 Stakes winners to date.
PRINCESS NOIR (JPN) is a 1/2 sister to stakes winner TRICOLORE BLEU, and to stakes placed Danon Gelato and World Impact. Also, she is a 1/2 sister to the Dam of Blue Diamond Winner TAGALOA.
Our filly’s grand-dam is the highly talented European Classics filly PENKENNA PRINCESS, a dual stakes winner and runner-up in the Gr1 Irish Thousand Guineas.
This is a deep black type page, and highlighting outstanding bloodlines. A super strong page and looks to match, combined with the brilliance of the sire, especially his daughters, it’s easy to see why we became bullish on this daughter of the champion.
Full details on our filly appears on our website.

Castelvecchio (by Dundeel) chimed in with the success of his 4YO daughter Verona Rose in the $300,000 ATC Guy Walter S. 1400m Gr2, defeating Manaal & Arctic Glamour.

VERONA ROSE
Winning jockey Craig Williams summed up the final stages of the race, “She came out, she lengthened, and I thought, ‘well, she’s still going really well and lengthening,’ but the last little bit she really put in an acceleration and put it away.”
Trainer Gary Portelli, who purchased Verona Rose (ex Minamya by Makfi) for $40,000 from Arrowfield at the Inglis Classic Sale, confirmed that the mare’s next target is the $1 million Coolmore Classic G1 at Rosehill on 14 March.
One of 6 stakes winners from Castelvecchio’s first crop, Verona Rose featured in Arrowfield’s Inglis Classic 2026 marketing campaign after winning last year’s Kembla Grange Classic G3 & the Inglis Bracelet at Flemington on Oaks Day. She has now earned more than $700,000 for her large group of owners.
Team Dynamic were delighted to see Verona Rose success. She is bred on the terrific DUNDEEL x DUBAWI Rated Cross that has bred 4 Stakes Winners to date. MILITARIZE G1; MAISON LOUIS G1; VERONA ROSE G3; RUSKA ROMA LR.
The exact cross has produced 3 starters: 3 Winners: 1 Stakes Winner being G1 winner MILITARIZE.
Dynamic Syndications purchased Lot 1 at the Inglis Classic. Offered by Arrowfield Stud, she was deliberately bred by Arrowfield to this same cross:
DUNDEEL (NZ) ex FAIROUZ (USA) (by DUBAWI). It’s no coincidence that our genetic ratings homework on the sale identified the filly as one of the best-bred rating an A+++. Full details on our filly appears on our website.

Also on the day, Champion Sire SNITZEL posted his 12th individual stakes winner for the season when his 2YO Son CAMPIONE D’TALIA (ex Medaglia Valore by Medaglia D’Oro) defeated stablemate Central Europe in the $300,000 ATC Skyline S. 1200m G2, with Star Of Jamaica back in third.

SNITZEL - Sire
A Gr2 victory at only his second start indicates this is a colt with a big future, but his trainer Chris Waller explained he is still learning his craft.
“He’s always shown promise, and hence the reason why we’ve thrown him in the deep-end. He’s a kind horse, but he’s just so competitive. So, when those barriers open, he wants to get to the bend first and we’ve got to teach him to get to the winning post first. We’re getting there.”

CAMPIONE D’TALIA
Bred by Gerry Harvey, CAMPIONE D’ITALIA was a $500,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast purchase for China Horse Club, Newgate Bloodstock & partners. He traces to the influential broodmare Summoned, whose 40 stakes-winning descendants include Group 1 winners Zeditave, Greys Inn, Melito (by Redoute’s Choice), Norzita & Smart Call, and Campione D’italia’s brilliant Group-winning grand-dam Military Rose.
Snitzel’s champion son Trapeze Artist (standing at Widden) also added two new stakes winners on the day: The Crimson Pirate in Perth, and Spicy Miss at Randwick.
Snitzel’s career record grew to 168 stakes winners (65 at two) and he remains atop the current Australian General Sires’ Premiership with $15.1 million prizemoney. Whilst The Autumn Sun holds the No. 2 spot with earnings of $13 million.
Dynamic Syndications joined forces with Arrowfield Stud at the Magic Millions to buy a beautifully bred filly by the Champion sire from Nordique (GB) a daughter of World Champion Sire Galileo.
NORDIQUE (GB) was unraced but is a 3/4 sister to stakes winner MARTEL, a 1/2 sister to stakes winner BLUSH. Our filly’s Grand-dam is dual Gr1 winner LADY OF SHAMROCK. She is the 1/2 sister to stakes winners SMOOTH JAZZ; SHE’S SENSATIONAL (Dam of OUR WAY).
Again, this filly rated highly on genetics and type. She is bred on the identical cross as SNITZANOVA which explains with the make and shape of the filly why Arrowfield wanted to buy in for 20% and knowing this is the penultimate crop by SNITZEL and not many being made available in the final crop in 2027.
Full details on our filly appears on our website.
