With just under 5 weeks remaining in the 2012-2013 sires premiership, Exceed and Excel looks set for victory. The almighty son of Danehill has enjoyed his best ever season on the back of his dominance in our 2yo feature races.

Exceed and Excel has enjoyed a stellar season which has seen him sire 17 individual stakes-winners the highest of any stallion at stud world-wide and is highlighted by the Golden Slipper win of Overreach and Sires Produce/Champagne Stakes double to Guelph.

Underlining the extent to which juvenile form can be a foundation for stallion success, Exceed And Excel goes into the final month of the title race with no less than the top 3 Timeform-rated 2YOs of the season. Exceed and Excel is $700,000 clear of his nearest rival Fastnet Rock and with a distinct lack of feature races available over the coming weeks, it appears all most impossible for his nearest rival to deny him of his maiden Stallions Premiership Title.

On the back of his outstanding season, Darley Stud has increased the 2013 service fee of Exceed and Excel to $88,000.

Over recent weeks the weanling market has been extremely strong upon sons and daughters of Exceed and Excel, whilst equally, mares in foal to this super sire are equally as popular. It’s obvious the sire is a hot commodity in the market place and as such, sale results are expected to sky rocket in the coming seasons.
