Back on the 2nd March, Warwick Farm trainer Greg Hickman produced the first Pierro youngster to win. Named Pierone, it scored on debut and back then he also declared in his post-race interview he had another Pierro at home that was better.
He was correct because at Randwick on ANZAC Day, he started his colt named Pierata who scored.

Having run fourth on debut to The Mighty Fed (by All Too Hard) on April 12, who franked that form by winning again last Saturday at Randwick.
Pierata showed the benefit of that outing in fitness and racecraft when surging to the front in the 1200 metre maiden with a furlong to run.
Having dashed away, he looked set for an easy win, until out of the ruck charged home another Pierro colt named Hong Qigong finishing strongly along the inside fence to make it interesting on the post.
Responding to the efforts of jockey Corey Brown, Pierata won by half a head with Hong Qigong stamping himself as a horse of the future with his fast finishing debut.
"He got to the front and didn't really know what he was going. He was floating and waiting for them," Brown said.
"He goes really good. He's a lovely little horse that will be much better as he matures.
"You watch him in the spring. He'll be up there with the really nice ones."
A $160,000 Magic Millions purchase, Pierata is a half-brother to Group 3 winning juvenile Ashokan and is the fourth winner from Group 3 winning Flying Spur mare November Flight.
"I'd like to take him to Queensland for the Sires' then tip him out," Greg Hickman said.
"He's the sort of horse that will learn so much from a trip away.
"He goes good this horse and he's not there yet."
Pierata is the third winner for Pierro, who leads the Australian First Season Sire's List by earnings and stands at Coolmore this spring at a fee of $49,500.
Pierro has also had 4 placegetters to date. Included amongst his progeny is Stakes Winner

Pierro being a son of Lonhro, it was always expected that his stock would show something as 2yo’s but be at their best at 3 and 4yo’s, so it’s extremely pleasing to see the sire sitting on top of the First Seasons Sires Premiership with what looks to be an unassailable lead.
The Team at Dynamic were convinced that sire would make the grade and backed our judgement purchasing 3 fantastic yearling fillies by the sire at the Magic Millions in 2017.
