It has been a busy start to the year for Dynamic with the Magic Millions sales taking place on the Gold Coast. The third day of the sales begins later this morning and sales figures have been marginally stronger than they were at the correlating sale last year. With this in mind, Dynamic will have to keep their eye well and truly on the ball to snatch up another bargain.
Dynamic managed to find two extremely well related filly’s, both for $90k, on day one of the sale that slipped through the clutches of other buyers on the Gold Coast. We were delighted with both purchases on day one and can’t wait to see them on the training track in the near future. Overall, the numbers have been relatively strong compared to last year as is represented in the table below.

While the overall sale average (up 3.3 percent) was helped by the most expensive Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling sold since 2009, the most pleasing statistic from the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale is the median which has remained at $105,000 as was the case after Day 1.
Dynamic managed to get two lots below this median price which is great news for our clients looking to buy into high quality yearlings at a reasonable price. Both of these horses have outstanding pedigrees and wonderful conformation and we expected them to go for well over the prices that we snared them for. We are extremely excited to get both filly’s down to our expert horse educationalist, Shane Rose who will be in charge of breaking in the horses before they go into full time work.
Australian Olympic Silver Medalist will be responsible for breaking in our horses
The Dynamic Team has been busy walking the sale grounds this morning looking over the lots that we have marked down in our final list. In some cases, it would be the 6th and 7th time that members of our Dynamic team have inspected the selected yearling to make sure that we are doing our due diligence. As well as representatives from Dynamic, we have trainers, vets, sales experts and industry professionals throughout the Dynamic family that all run their eye over our potential lots before decided whether to buy.
It is a case of the best quality and not quantity that Dynamic strive to upkeep every year and the system has continued to work over the years. This model is a catalyst into why we keep winning races and prizemoney for our clients as time goes on. We have now won over 310 since our first winner in October of 2005 and have averaged a winner a week, every week for the last 4 ½ years. With our current purchases and a wonderful crop of horses that is already on our books, we expect this to continue.
Today's third session will be followed by an evening session that takes place after tomorrow's Magic Millions Gold Coast racing extravaganza which Dynamic will also be present at. We will keep you updated with Dynamic progress throughout the sales here on the website, on our Facebook page and also on twitter.
