At Warwick Farm on Saturday, 4YO gelding
TREMEC (Zabeel-Tipple,
by Stravinsky) scored in the $100,000 Listed Randwick City Stakes
(2200m) for trainer John Thompson and Patinak Farm. Earning his first
black-type success, TREMEC, a NZ$400,000 yearling from the 2010 NZ
Bloodstock Premier Sale at Karaka, took his record to 5 wins & 2
runners-up from 14 starts for $154,040 earnings.
TREMEC is from the mare TIPPLE and she is a half sister to
PETTA GAYE the dam of our 2yo Ready To Run Encosta De Lago colt
MARVIN.
Both mares are daughters of Champion mare
HORLICKS and half sisters to Melbourne Cup Winner
BREW and Gr2 Guineas winner
BUBBLE.
It’s a great pedigree page and constantly produces high quality middle
distance and staying horses. Hence why we purchased MARVIN. It is hoped
that he will become a potential Derby candidate as a 3yo.
MARVIN
What’s in a name ?
MARVIN is a son of PETTA GAYE. One of the greatest performers of the music industry with hit after hit was
MARVIN GAYE ! So logic would have it that that the best name for our big and strong colt would be
MARVIN after his namesake.
