Massive thoroughbred juggernauts ARROWFIELD, COOLMORE and NEWGATE have joined YARRAMAN PARK to release their 2017 Service Fees for their stallion rosters. DARLEY are yet to announce their fees but have announced a raft of exciting new sires they will be standing.
Without surprise the big two mover and shakers in the industry are SNITZEL and I AM INVINCIBLE and both have seen significant rises with SNITZEL jumping from $110,000 to $176,000 whilst I AM INVINCIBLE doubled from $55,000 to $110,000.
The fabulous Newgate Farm roster features a breathtaking selection of outstanding prospects priced competitively across a broad spectrum to suit a wide range of breeders.
Heading their roster at $55,000 is Capitalist (Written Tycoon), the Champion 2YO of his generation and a brilliant winner of the Group I ATC Golden Slipper and Magic Millions 2YO Classic. His book is now full.
Two of his Group I winning sparring partners – Extreme Choice (Not a Single Doubt) and Flying Artie (Artie Schiller (USA) are next on the list at $38,500 with record breaking Group 2 winner Winning Rupert (Written Tycoon) another new recruit priced at $22,000.
Also priced at $22,000 is Foxwedge (Fastnet Rock), with his oldest progeny now three year-olds, Foxwedge has established himself as a great source of winners in both hemispheres.
His best local progeny are headed by top class Group I winning filly Foxplay, winner over older mares of the $1 million ATC Coolmore Legacy Queen of the Turf Stakes, Group 2 winner Volpe Veloce and stakes-winner Kentucky Miss.
Set to have their first two year-olds competing next season are Sizzling (Snitzel), The Factor (USA) (War Front) and Eurozone (Northern Meteor), whose yearlings have all sold well this year.
The first weanlings by Australian Horse of the Year Dissident (Sebring), Group I VRC Australian Guineas hero Wandjina (Snitzel) and scintillating sprinter Deep Field (Northern Meteor) are poised to impress in coming months and will be sure to star at the yearling sales of 2018.
Wandjina had the top seller at the Inglis Chairman's Sale last Friday with the three-quarter brother to Group I winner Russian Revolution fetching $335,000.
Deep Field impressed with a colt from young stakes-winner Impetuous selling for $250,000 and Dissident had a flashy chestnut colt from Djina sell for $180,000.
Also worth the wait is the arrival of the first foals for lightning fast juvenile Super One (I Am Invincible) due this spring given his warm reception last year and the deeds of his sire.

Yarraman Park has set the fees for the 2017 breeding season for their two Champion stallions I Am Invincible and Hinchinbrook.
I Am Invincible, sire of dual Group I winning sprinter and stallion Brazen Beau has had an outstanding year both on the track and in the sales ring.
With 19 stakes-winners to his credit, I Am Invincible is the sire of new season Group I winner I Am A Star who continues to outdo her older contemporaries time and again.
Far too good in the Group I VRC Myer Classic in the Spring and again last weekend in the Group 2 Sunline Stakes, 3YO filly I Am A Star also took out the Group 2 VRC Kewney Stakes earlier this year.
His seven other stakes-winners this season include the lightning-fast Group 2 winner Illustrious Lad, Group 3 winning 2YO Invincible Star, Group 1 placed Group 3 winner Invincible Gem.
His four current season stakes-placed horses are headlined by Hellbent who went ever-so-close to becoming his sire's third Group I winner in the William Reid last week.
I Am Invincible is the country's leading stallion by winners to runners with a consistent percentage of more than 50% and his 2YO filly Houtzen's victory in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic in January ensured his results in the sale ring this year followed suit.
I Am Invincible has sired: a $1.6m and a $1.5 million yearlings at this year’s Easter Sale and had an average of $499,000 across the Easter draft. A $1.4m colt at the Premier Sale in March and a $900,000 colt at the Gold Coast in January where his yearling average soared to more than $318,000.
Across 105 yearlings to sell he has an average of $273,999.
I Am Invincible will stand at a fee of $110,000 this spring.
Young stallion Hinchinbrook, Snitzel's three-quarter-brother, has had a brilliant start to 2017 following his remarkable spring where he was one of only four stallions to sire more than one stakes-winner at the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Australia's Champion first- and second-crop sire, courtesy of Group 1 winner-now-stallion Press Statement and Group 3 SA Sires' Produce winner Flying Jess respectively, brought 2017 in with a bang when the latter followed up with her win in the $2m Magic Millions 3YO Guineas at the Gold Coast in January defeating previously unbeaten colt Winning Rupert and dual Group 1 winning filly Global Glamour.
Hinchinbrook's current season stakes-winners are headed by top-class juvenile Diamond Tathagata from his third crop who emulated his sire when winning the Group 2 ATC Skyline Stakes.
Joining him are Group 3 winner Spright and Listed winners Flippant and Derryn, who became his sire's ninth stakes-winner last weekend.
Hinchinbrook's fee has been set at $44,000.
Not to be outdone, but dragging the chain a bit behind the other BIG BOYS for announcing their service fees is Darley Stud however they have announced a raft of new sires standing there for 2017. They will introduce:
Astern
Frosted
Holler
Territories
The Last Lion
With record prizemoney, record sale prices and an incredible depth of exciting new sires joining the proven sires the racing and breeding industry has never been in better shape as it is here in Australia (particularly NSW) in 2017.
