Young sire Smart Missile passed a huge milestone for any stallion when siring his first “century of individual winners in a racing season” after three (3) recent wins in as many days, took the son of Fastnet Rock to 101 Individual Winners in the 2017-18 Racing Season.
In the race for Champion Australian 3rd Crop Sire (by Winners), Smart Missile with 101 Individual Winners is 10 ahead of his closest peer Foxwedge who has 91 and back in third spot is So You Think with 82 Winners.
Since Twin Hills Stud at Cootamundra made the decision to take over standing the outstanding young sire Smart Missile from Arrowfield Stud, the son of Fastnet Rock has been in stellar form churning out winner after winner.
In fact, Smart Missile has sired 25 Winners in the past 30 Days !
He had a 2yo winner at Gosford on Thursday when Knight Arrow brought him up to 99 winners for the season. Then another 2yo winner on Friday named Nuke became his 100th Winner and that was backed up on Saturday with Missile Miss winning at Kembla.
Smart Missile is the current leading Australian third crop sire by winners with 101 and $5.6 million in earnings and currently sits in second position to So You Think ($6.3m) by prizemoney earnings.
Last season Smart Missile was Australia’s Leading Second Crop Sire by Winners with 66, finishing ahead of Foxwedge (51) and So You Think (42).
In his first season, Smart Missile was crowned Champion Australian First Crop Sire.
Smart Missile to date has sired a total of 147 Individual Winners (54.9%) and $11.8 million in total earnings including 5 Stakes Winners and 16 Stakes Placed horses, headed by Group 2 winner I'll Have a Bit.

The first was Lot 217 from the Magic Millions, an equine Adonis out of the mare Rahy Storm (USA).
