Well, what a season it has been in the training ranks with records broken, vast improvement shown, and proven professionals continuing their rein at the top.
We will first start with the overall premiership in total wins around Australia which Dynamic’s own Peter Moody has clearly topped on 209 wins at a strike rate of 20.25%
Peter has claimed ten Gr1 winners and nine Gr2 winners which puts him on top of these respective lists as well. He also added seven Gr3 winners this season (2nd position) as well as taking his wonder mare, Black Caviar, to win in Europe and her record at 22 starts for 22 wins.
This is an outstanding effort from the man who has cemented his spot at the top of Australian racing with his continuing success.
Moody beat home Peter Snowden in 2nd, Darren Weir and fellow Dynamic Trainer Chris Waller .
Chris Waller enjoyed another brilliant season training 172.5 winners overall with prizemoney in excess of $10m.

Although Chris Waller comfortably won both NSW and Sydney premierships there is a number of performances that should be highlighted inside the top 10 trainers.
Darren Smith’s rise into the top ten must be noted as a brilliant achievement. Darren managed to secure his 3rd Max Lees Medal on Saturday for having the best Strike Rate at the Newcastle Track over the season.
Darren beat home many noted leading trainers in overall wins adding to his provincial tally of 46.5 wins by producing 11 city winners throughout the year including a Stakes Win in Melbourne and a Gr1 in NZ.
Taking into account trainers who have had more than 100 runners for the season, Darren sits in 6th place in overall strike rate only being behind Waterhouse (23.79), Karakatsanis (21.85), O’Shea (18.45), Dale (18.33) and Paul Murray (18.27)
Gerald Ryan also had a very solid year and cemented his spot in the top ten with an impressive 68 wins for the year.

If we look out of the city and away from the big trainers, we should pay homage to some of the smaller stables who have had a particularly good year this year.
These trainers listed below have managed to top the strike rate tally with smaller stables racing in NSW.
A special mention should go to Angela Davies who managed to produce a winner almost 43% of the time she competed in a race.

In Brisbane, the trainer’s premiership was wrapped up by Robert Heathcote who comfortably secured the premiership.
Dynamic Trainer Matt Dunn had a stellar year producing 19 city winners to place him 8th on the city trainers premiership overall.
Overall, Matt has produced 53.5 winners for the season at a strike rate of 16.77% runners to winners in a very tough QLD market.
He has continued to prove himself as one of the best trainers up North despite not having as many horses as the top trainers and has seen his reputation grow.
