2014 - A DYNAMIC Year in Review
It has been another extremely successful year for Team Dynamic, both on and off the track, leaving us extremely excited for what 2015 has on offer.
Leading into the Christmas period gives us a time to reflect on the past 12 months.
The year that was - 2014.
A year filled with highs and lows, tears of joy and sorrow, a year of sometimes despair but more often gratitude, a year that has provided many good memories along the way, cemented friendships and finally offers hope that 2015 becomes the year you want it to be!
ON THE TRACK:
In the past 12 months, Dynamic Syndications purchased / syndicated horses have won
40 races (includes 11 Metropolitan Wins).
Our selected horses secured
2 Stakes Wins and 4 Class Record Wins (
3 x Metropolitan and 1 x Provincial).
In the current 2014/15 Racing Season (commenced 1st August)
Dynamic Syndications horses have won 16 races.
The recent win of talented 3yo filly
BERGDORF brought our statistics up to the following level:
Since our first starter was a winner in October 2005:
Number of Yearlings Purchased by Dynamic Syndications to have Raced = 167
Number of Individuals to have WON = 143 ( 85.6% Runners : Winners )
Number of Individuals to have EARNED PRIZEMONEY = 162 ( 97.0% Runners : Earners )
Number of Races Won = 402
Prizemoney Won by Dynamic Syndications Horses since October 2005 = Over $12.3 million.
IN THE OFFICE
It was the best year we have had since 2008. That was a record year back then but the onset of the Global Financial Crisis impacted on our industry. However steady growth for the previous 3 years literally mushroomed in 2014. We achieved
record sales by share volume, bringing us back on par with the sales generated in 2008.
Adam Watt
Specifically, we thank
Adam Watt – who is in charge of our
Sales, Marketing and New Business Development. Adam rose to incredible heights in 2014, syndicating
18 horses for Dynamic Syndications, placing 360 individual shares into the marketplace for gross sales of approximately $2.7 million.
Such was the demand for
Dynamic Syndications purchased yearlings, we were
SOLD OUT of our 2014 purchases by early November. His enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the racing industry is a pillar to our team. Specifically his ability to map out races and engage jockeys for Dynamic horses has been an instrumental part of reaching a record year on the track and in the office.
Adam got off to a booming start to the year with plenty of trading taking place on the back of some fantastic racetrack results we were achieving. The middle third of the year was significantly slower, the Winter Racing and wet tracks didn't set our clients imaginations alight, but we had a steady stream of enquires and sales to keep us active and moving along.
However the final third of the 2014 really had our office in a frenzy, with the spring carnival in the forefront of people's minds, combined with the fact that our team of Dynamic trainers were on fire, our remaining stock Sold Out in a matter of weeks.
The phone has continued to run hot since we put up the Sold Out sign, with many keen thoroughbred enthusiasts trying to get involved with a nice horse before Christmas.
Such has been the demand, we could have syndicated another couple of horses with ease had we had stock available.
Luckily the 2015 sales season is only around the corner and we are confident we will be able to continue meeting our client base needs.
Peter Wagstaff
Our
Client Liaison Officer Peter Wagstaff was his usual busy self, pushing out our never ending client updates for all our horses. However Peter was able to get away for a month to the USA and had a trip of a lifetime.
As for customer service, our friendly and diligent Peter sees another year pass where the management team are delighted to have received the continued compliments by email, phone calls and chats in person about Peter's happy disposition.
Our clients develop a genuine bond with Peter, who is their contact point at Dynamic. He reports to clients as a minimum every week and follows up with phone calls and attends to the requests of our clients wherever possible. He always does a terrific job for Dynamic and we are delighted to have Peter in our team.
During the year, we changed the
style of message delivery from specific email updates in written form, to emails containing audio reports. This has allowed for
greater in depth reporting and
pre and post-race analysis. The
information flow has been spectacular and now that we are encouraging many of our trainers to deliver email audio reports to us as well, the information flow has never been greater for owners in our industry and we are justifiably proud of the positive feedback from our owners.
Fiona Watt
With
record sales comes massive administration. Fiona Watt our Chief Financial Officer has seen her workload increase by almost 70% in the 2014 year.
Fiona has been fantastic under the increased workloads caused by the rapid fire selling by Adam.
This requires Fiona to keep on top of the mountains of paperwork running the Dynamic Syndications accounts, keeping both our accountants and also our auditors satisfied, she also has the responsibilities to ensure AFS Licence compliance is met, Racing NSW and RISA registrations and sees paperwork mushroom alongside the standard reporting, BAS reports, individual Trust Account requirements, distribution of 360 Product Disclosure Statements, Syndicate Deeds and Invoicing.
Fiona is certainly looking forward to her Well Deserved end of year break.
From our
high exposure on the internet and social media, we’ve had
IT Executive Jack Lee with us over 12 months. Jack has been working away on the back end of all our IT development and social media platforms because as our business grows, so does the demands on internet data. With over
6,500 people liking us on Facebook, more than 5,000 followers on Twitter, exposure on Linkedin and an active email database of over 12,000, the demands on IT resources continued to grow throughout 2014.
Jack has maintained our digital footprint presence as the market leader in the industry and ensured we are at the forefront of technology advances.
Rachel Watt
Whilst our
media and public relations consultant Rachel Watt, having graduated in 2013 from the University of NSW with her Degree in Media – Advertising and Public Relations and an ASDA Diploma in Public Speaking, has been busy guiding the Dynamic Team in how to establish our message across the mass market media and social media.

our fantastic client base have made it all possible and we would not be in our current position without this valuable, ongoing support.
We can’t wait to stand alongside you in the winner’s circle in 2015.
To our new clients, we are proud and extremely happy that you chose to join our team here at Dynamic.
Whether it is your first time in racing or you are a seasoned veteran, we are delighted to have you on board with us and can’t wait for the fun times ahead.
On the racetrack, 2015 may prove to be one of the most exciting years for Team Dynamic.
A number of our 2014 crop of yearlings are getting ready to hit the track with the big season 2yo races in the Autumn of 2015.
Also many of our 2012 and 2013 crops are being aimed for the Autumn and Winter Carnivals.
Especially with the successful running of the inaugural
“THE CHAMPIONSHIPS” and the revamped Autumn Carnival, racing has never been more lucrative and the massive prizemoney injections have made our sport highly rewarding.
We have a dozen or more that on what they have / are showing their trainers, could go on to earn Black Type for our clients over the coming months.
To those clients that have been with us for sometime,
a very big “thank you” especially goes to you !
We’re humbled you choose Dynamic Syndications and appreciative that you find our service and information flow to your ongoing satisfaction.
Hopefully we can see you join us in new yearlings from our upcoming 2015 purchases.
On behalf of Dynamic Syndications, to all clients, friends, followers and supporters, we extend to you and yours, our warmest Christmas wishes.
We hope that Santa is good to you over the Christmas period and you have a safe and Happy New Year.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR

Dean, Fiona, Peter, Adam, Jack and Rachel.
