A busy weekend ahead for
Dynamic and our Ownership Teams as we have
6 runners engaged.
We take this opportunity to wish the Teams of Owners the very Best of Racing Luck. We have one runner on debut, two others resuming from a spell, a very promising 3yo filly taking on Stakes Company, a Promising, Lightly Raced staying mare and a warhorse who’s won seven races but having his first run for a Leading Stable.
It all starts on Friday Night at Canterbury.
Race 1 JAPONICA (James Cummings) – Promising staying mare. Tim Clark in saddle. Was desperately unlucky last start at Newcastle over 2000m when beaten a head. Led all the way and was sitting duck and beaten in a bob of the heads on the line. That was her 4th run this prep. Fit now and ready. Has ability and should finish in the mix.
Race 2 SAME HERE (Jason Coyle) – First start for NZ bred son of PINS. Won trial impressively without being extended defeating spruiked $640,000 yearling ~ Rainbow Nation, who he meets here. Tough race and very even on paper however it’s a nice tick off point to determine where the team heads with him from here. Having Blake Shinn in the saddle is an advantage.
On Saturday:
Rosehill
Race 9 DREAM CHOICE (Gai Waterhouse) – Honest galloper who has been a great money spinner for the team. Winner of 7 Races and over $300k. Winner this grade 2 runs back then put in subsequent disappointing effort. Changed stable. Swapped from Gary Moore and placed with Dynamic Trainer GAI WATERHOUSE. Drawn very poorly in barrier 11. Have retained apprentice Regan Bayliss who takes 2.0kgs and will carry 57.5kgs after claim. Will need luck not to be trapped deep from the draw but he looked the best we have seen him last Sunday at the stables and work this week has been sharp. Fresh here and a bold run wouldn’t surprise. With luck can finish in the mix.
Doomben
Race 6 THORSBORNE (Gerald Ryan) – Nice filly who comes back to her own age group and sex for the first time in this Stakes Race. Leading rider Jeff Lloyd in the saddle. Drawn well to take a forward position. This race has been targeted for some time as a lead into the 3yo races heading into the Magic Millions carnival. Speedy filly who worked strong at Rosehill Tuesday morning before heading up north. Arrived safely and looks a treat. With luck should finish in the mix.
Queanbeyan
Race 2 PICKERSGILL (Jason Coyle) – Athletic Starspangledbanner filly. Scott Pollard in the saddle. She has taken some time to mature physically but first up in this event off the back of 2 trials she is fit and ready to run well at this tricky circuit. Her form lines in the 2 races she has competed in has stood up. Ran 3rd at Warwick Farm trials in slick time after getting back early. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position and with luck on her side should be in the finish. Nice race at this stage of her career to resume in.
On Sunday
Nowra
Race 2 WEISENHEIMER (Jason Coyle) – Exceed And Excel gelding that has had his fair share of issues so we are delighted to see him back at the races. Has trialled twice in soft fashion ahead of this return run. Has been placed in 3 starts in Melbourne and will find this event a little weaker than where he has competed previously. We are hopeful to see him hitting the line hard and hopefully off a hot tempo up front we can get over the top of them near the post.
We wish all our owners of these horses the very best of luck.
