91st Stakes Winner for Fastnet Rock

Champion Australian sire Fastnet Rock has made a fast start to the new Northern Hemisphere Racing Season having already sired 18 winners from 55 runners (33%) in the UK, Ireland and France.

Last night (our time) in France, he added his first stakes-winner for the season when One Foot in Heaven won the Listed Prix Seymour at Maisons Laffitte.

A lightly raced now four year-old, One Foot in Heaven broke his maiden at his second start when scoring at Deauville in December and was having his first run for 2016 in the 1m 4f (2400m) staying test.

Trained by Alain De Royer-Dupre, One Foot in Heaven scored by half a length and is the best of four winners from former Champion French mare Pride, who won nine races, three of them Group 1 including the Hong Kong Gold Cup.

As a reverse shuttle stallion, Fastnet Rock is doing an amazingly good job in Europe.
