It was terrific to be back at Royal Randwick trackwork on Friday morning with Australia’s First Lady of Racing & Hall Of Fame Trainer – Gai Waterhouse.
Gai was back at her effervescent best, relaxed and refreshed after her recent winter holiday and back in control with her usual vim and vigour.
Adrian had been holding the fort admirably whilst Gai was overseas and now the tables have turned with Adrian off on a well-deserved two week exodus.
The Tulloch Lodge Team were going through their paces with military precision under the watchful eye of the Commander - Gai.
This morning we had horses working and others other jumping out ahead of upcoming barrier trials.
FALCON ISLAND
This weekend our Dynamic / Gai Waterhouse Team have FALCON ISLAND competing in Race 2 at Rosehill on Saturday and on his trackwork this week, where he worked far more impressively than his stablemate, we are upbeat that he has taken the next step after his confidence building 8.3 length win and he is a genuine threat and looks ideally placed over the 2000m trip.
Then on Monday, our Dynamic galloper ARBEITSAM will return from a spell when he has the first of two trials as he prepares for a crack at the EPSOM later in the Spring before a possible trip to Melbourne to take on the Best of the Best.
ARBEITSAM
Coming off a strong preparation last time where he claimed the Neville Selwood Gr3 2000m and ran third in the Gr1 Doncaster 1600m and second in the Magic Millions Cup 1400m, he banked $576,600 in earnings and became a millionaire, taking his overall tally to $1,047,750 and is now looking to fatten the back account even further.
