It is set to be a huge weekend for Dynamic Syndications and their trainers as we prepare for another big day of racing and get ready for Melbourne Cup day on Tuesday. Dynamic Syndications will be represented by four runners with Darren Smith, Gerald Ryan, Jason Coyle and Matt Dunn each to have a horse engaged.
Savage Blaze kicks off the weekend as night racing returns to Canterbury Park for the first time this season. Savage Blaze will line up in the third event on the card, the Club Mt Lewis Handicap over 1550m due to run at 8.05pm. Darren Smith has done a wonderful job with this galloper and his last start win over 2300m at Newcastle showed us every indication that he has turned the corner and is ready to compete in city grade. Savage Blaze was racing in career best form until he contracted a minor virus and was unfortunately forced to the paddock for approximately 10 days. After a couple of weeks in the paddock, Savage Blaze returned to full fitness and is once again bright and ready for racing. Although this is short of his pet distance tonight, we are hopeful of a good display as we gradually step him beyond 2000m.
Savage Blaze will run at Canterbury tonight
Our next two runners feature tomorrow at Rosehill and are both coming off the back of impressive last start city wins. Laughing and Masterstroke will get there chance at Saturday grade tomorrow as they look to continue their good form. Laughing lines up in the first race on the card, a Benchmark 75 Handicap over 1200m. The CMFEU Mining and Energy Handicap is due to jump at 12.20pm and has a small but competitive field of five runners assembled. Laughing has showed us plenty of ability this preparation finishing 2nd on debut before putting in a gutsy effort to win at Warwick Farm last start. She will be ridden tomorrow by promising young apprentice Anthony Allen who will take off 2kg leaving Laughing with only 52kgs on her back. The obvious dangers in the race are Sessions and Catkins but we are hopeful that Laughing has improved even further on her class record performance last start. Gerald Ryan has done a sensational job with our 3yo Distorted Humor filly and it would be no surprise to see a forward showing tomorrow.
Laughing gets her chance at city grade
Our second runner at Rosehill tomorrow bookends the meet as Masterstroke lines up looking to make it back to back victories. The Jason Coyle trained galloper was ridden perfectly last start by Dynamic jockey Tommy Berry and we are hopeful that Jason Collett can do a similar job tomorrow. Masterstroke broke through for his deserved first city win at Warwick Farm last Wednesday and will be looking to add a Saturday class event to his resume. Masterstroke has shown that he is an above average horse when racing on top of the ground and tomorrow gets conditions to suit again. Although this race is a lot harder, we are hopeful that Masterstroke can manage to get across from a wide draw and finish off the race in nice fashion.
Masterstroke will be looking to make it two from two this prep
Our final runner for the weekend is Chew the Fat who will compete at the Gold Coast over 1100m. The Matt Dunn trained galloper was fair in his return to racing off the back of a long spell and blinkers go on tomorrow in an attempt to liven him up. Although he gets the top weight of 59kgs, he looks well placed in this event tomorrow and if he can find his form of old, he should be competitive again. He will jump in race 5 at 3.45 QLD time and we are hopeful of a return to form from our Snitzel gelding.
Chew the Fat hits the track again tomorrow
We wish the best of luck to all our Dynamic owners over the weekend and hope that we can continue our own good run of form. We would also like to wish the best of luck to our Dynamic group of trainers tomorrow as they line up their respective horses. Peter Moody, Chris Waller, Gerald Ryan and David Payne all have runners who looked well placed at Flemington in Group racing and we wish them all the best as they strive to earn more trophies for their cabinets.
