In a star studded event to be held on Thursday evening 16/8 at Rosehill racecourse and beamed live by Sky Channel on their 521 channel, the NSW Racehorse Owners Association is holding their annual racing achievement function known as Racing’s Night Of Champions – Where the stars align.
For the second year in a succession, Dynamic Syndications galloper ATOMIC FORCE is a finalist in the NSW Provincial Horse Of The Year category.
Atomic Force winning the Gr1 Railway Stakes in NZ
In 2011, Atomic Force was runner-up in this category to champion sprinter Hay List.
In 2012, the finalists are Hay List, Atomic Force and Sincero. The awards are determined upon a strict point score system for wins and placings in certain events.
It appears that Hay List will be hard to beat again this year as several races of Atomic Force did not qualify for point allocation.
It’s a fantastic honour for both our horse and our trainer Darren Smith who was also just announced as the winner of the Racing NSW - PROVINCIAL TRAINER of 2012. Darren has done and continues to do a fantastic job with our horse.
ATOMIC FORCE has also been named a finalist for the second year in a row in a different set of awards being the Racing NSW - Provincial Horse of the Year Award. Other finalists with Atomic Force are Hay List, Sincero and Darci Be Good. These awards are industry based.
These awards will be held at a gala function on the 28th September at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney in recognition of the Country and Provincial participants. These awards are a different point scoring system and Atomic Force appears better placed in that category where all his racetrack deeds are recognised and measured.
So far, ATOMIC FORCE has been a finalist in 6 awards to date.
