Chris Waller has extended his lead in all the training premiership categories after he saluted with another double at Canterbury yesterday.
Waller has started this season right where he finished the last one already managing to produce 28.5 winners including 25 city winners in just over a month of racing.
Chris currently sits atop of the Sydney, NSW and overall training premierships this season with an incredible strike rate of 25.2%.
It is a perfect time for Waller to hit top gear leading into an exciting Spring Carnival where he looks to have a number of good chances in black type races.
Yesterday saw the debut win of a high profile 3yo filly by Encosta De Lago trained out of the Chris Waller camp in Hoybell.
This impressive filly was a $690,000 purchase from Willow Park Stud at the Australian Easter Yearling Sales in 2011.
She was joined in the winner’s circle by Black Jag, another striking thoroughbred to be trained at the inform Chris Waller stable.
Black Jag has been knocking on the door of a victory after 5 consecutive placings and faith was restored yesterday when the 4yo gelding comfortably accounted for his rivals winning by 1.5 length x NS.
Chris will saddle up only two runners at the Wyong carnival over the next two days including Kelinni who is looking for his third win on the trot when he lines up in the $150,000 Listed Wyong Gold Cup.
This improving stayer will aim to give Chris’s a winning start to a big weekend of racing with Chelmsford Stakes day following on Saturday at Warwick Farm.
Chris has accepted with 13 runners on Saturday with eyes surely to be on multiple Gr1 winner Rangirangdoo and duel UK stakes winner, Class is Class who has his first start for the Waller yard.
We are currently syndicating a Commands filly out of a New Zealand mare, Making Fey to be trained by Chris at his Rosehill stable.
The mare has produced 5 runners to race for 5 winners including Gr1 and LR winning 2yo, Apercu.
Despite only offering our Commands filly up for syndication in the last month, shares have sold quickly and now just 30% remains.
She is a lovely type and should thrive under the care of Chris who has an outstanding record with horses bred to excel as 3yos and older which is the case with this filly.
The recent run of outstanding results comes as no shock to Dynamic who sees Chris put in the hard work every year to constantly improve himself as a trainer.
Our filly is currently enjoying her time in the paddock after successfully completed her initial education process with the highly skilled Shane Rose and his team at Bimbadeen Park.
