It has been a very successful start to the 2013 sales season with the Inglis Classic sales posting very positive numbers well up on last years’ figures. A total of 348 yearlings were sold for $11,731,772 during the inaugural Summer Book of the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale at Newmarket over the past two days.
The move from Inglis to put the Classic sale in two separate books this year (a Summer and Winter catalogue) resulted in a 13% increase in average price obtained by vendors from 2012 to $33,712, with the median up 20% to $30,000.

Another strong sale is positive news for the bloodstock industry as a whole with buyers not deterred by an ever changing economy. Both the Magic Millions yearling sale and the Inglis Classic sale have posted substantially higher numbers in 2013 to keep all involved in the industry happy. This is a testament to the hard work that every person in racing and breeding has put in to keep raising the bar year after year.

This makes the job of Dynamic Syndications slightly harder when trying to find yearlings at a bargain base price however Dynamic have managed to do just that that over the past two weeks. The Inglis Classic Sale was yet another successful sale for the Dynamic team as we secured two top lots, a filly by Choisir out of Carlton Show and a colt by Tale of the Cat out of Hot Ticket which were both lovely types.
The Choisir filly looks to be a lovely 2yo prospect with the extended family all having a genuine pace in their 2yo career. She will be trained by Sydney’s leading trainer Chris Waller who has already opened up an almost unassailable lead in the 2012/13 premiership season. The Tale of the Cat colt will be trained by leading provincial trainer Darren Smith who continues to have plenty of success with Dynamic Syndications horses. We have full faith in both Darren and Chris and we can’t wait for them to see them begin work with these outstanding trainers later this year.
These two individuals will join the three fillies that we bought at the Magic Millions sale with Dynamic’s 2013 team beginning to take shape and look as strong as ever. Dynamic have ensured that we have stuck to our same game plan through the 2013 sales season and this will continue to be the case as we look towards the Karaka Premier yearling sale and the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale.
Dynamic will look ahead to the Karaka Premier Yearling sale
Finding a horse at a reasonable price is something that is becoming increasingly hard as is the demand for well-bred yearlings. Dynamic’s business model has always remained constant and we make sure that all our horses are well bred, well conformed and we will never go over our market valuation.
Dynamic will continue their pursuit to win the big races using the same model that has given us so much success since October of 2005. The future of the racing industry looks extremely strong and here at Dynamic we will do everything that we can to keep it going in positive direction. Stay tuned to the Dynamic website for more information on upcoming yearling sales and information on our purchases throughout 2013.
