Arrowfield Stud has announced two Group Winning Sons of Redoute’s Choice are joining its 2016 Roster:
Scissor Kick & Panzer Division.
REDOUTE'S CHOICE - AUSTRALIA'S BEST SIRE
John Messara, Arrowfield’s Chairman, says,
“These additions to the Arrowfield roster reflect our strategies of still pursuing the strongest branches of the Danehill sire-line.
“Scissor Kick and Panzer Division offer all the physical, genetic and racing attributes required to build the Redoute’s Choice legacy, alongside Snitzel and Not A Single Doubt, and to fill the gap left by Beneteau.”
SCISSOR KICK (Redoute’s Choice-Back Pass by Quest For Fame)
Scissor Kick was an impressive juvenile winner before establishing himself among Australia’s best colts in a stellar 3YO season.
In the Spring he won the ATC Rosebud H. 1200m LR, then defeated Panzer Division and Shooting To Win in the ATC Up and Coming S. 1300m G3.
At his next start he was a narrow and game second to Hallowed Crown in the Group 1 Golden Rose over 1400m after a torrid four-wide trip, and again defeating Shooting To Win.
Scissor Kick’s Autumn 3YO campaign began with success in the ATC Eskimo Prince S. 1200mG3, beating subsequent Group 1 winners Delectation and Kermadec.
After a brief let-up due to a virus, in the ATC All Aged S. G1, rated Australia’s best 1400-metre race over the past three years, he then joined Dissident, Wandjina & Chautauqua to complete the top four, with Group 1 winners Terravista and Lucky Hussler among the beaten brigade.
As an exceptionally handsome and very fast son of dominant sire of sires Redoute’s Choice (Snitzel, Not A Single Doubt, Stratum, Beneteau, etc), Scissor Kick is a desirable asset for any stallion roster.
However, he significantly also hails from the sire-producing female family of Danehill’s leading European son Dansili, the sire of over 100 stakes winners and 19 Group 1 winners.
PANZER DIVISION (Redoute’s Choice-Desert Fight by Hussonet)
Panzer Division progressed from an impressive debut 2YO win to Group 3 success over 1400m at Randwick as a Spring 3YO, defeating Caulfield Guineas winner Shooting To Win.
At only his fourth career start he was fifth in the weight-for-age ATC George Main S. 1600m G1 to Sacred Falls and Royal Descent.
That performance earned him a Timeform rating of 120 and his Autumn prospects looked bright, but injury forced an end to his career.
He nonetheless defeated the likes of Group 1 winners Boban, Lucia Valentina and Delectation in a career that spanned just seven starts.
Trainer Paul Messara says, “Panzer Division is close to the perfect thoroughbred horse on conformation and presence, he’s a stunning individual. He also had a huge amount of ability and we had high aspirations for him, but his career was cut short by injury in the Hobartville Stakes.”
Panzer Division is out of dual Group 1 winner Desert Fight, Champion 2YO Filly in Chile, by champion sire Hussonet, also a leading broodmare sire of Blue Diamond G1 winner Extreme Choice (by Not A Single Doubt) and champion filly Majmu (by Redoute’s Choice).
The 2016 service fees for the Arrowfield roster, including Scissor Kick & Panzer Division, will be announced on Monday 11 April.
Dynamic Syndications have purchased 2 super colts this year by REDOUTE'S CHOICE allowing our owners the opportunity of elite racetrack success and Sire Opportunities in the future.
The first is a Colt from LA PRALINE the Second is a Colt from TRIPLED.
Both boys have huge pedigrees to go with awesome conformation and will be trained by GAI WATERHOUSE.
