Dynamic Syndications are set for a big few days as a number of our runners will don the Dynamic silks and compete in city class events. It has already been an exciting last month at Dynamic with our 300th winner coming on track in only our seventh year of operation. We hope to see the next 100 winners come up in quick succession.
Later today, the ATC meeting will be held at Hawkesbury due to the on-going developments at Randwick which are scheduled to be completed sometime in 2013. We have the one runner lining up at Hawkesbury to kick off our big week as Trick Shot competes in the 5th event on the card. The Chris Waller trained mare will be second up after finishing just 1 ½ lengths off stable mate Catkins in her last start. Catkins has since gone on to run an impressive second in Saturday class and therefore Trick Shot’s form lines look solid going into this. Her effort first up off a long break was very promising and she should strip fitter from that run. We hope to see a forward showing from our 4yo Al Maher mare and a good performance would not surprise.

Looking towards Friday night’s Canterbury Park meeting we have a number of runners that are likely to line up in different events. We have a total of three horses that accepted on Friday night and among them are the Darren Smith trained pair Excellent Point and Savage Blaze. Both are coming off last start second place finishes and have other options but on paper these races seem to be appropriate. Excellent Point has put in two great runs this campaign, winning first up at Newcastle to secure Dynamic Syndications 300th victory before running a very gallant second at the ATC transferred Kembla Grange meeting in which he lugged a big weight. He has been accepted for the benchmark 75 event over 1100m on Friday and has drawn barrier 9/12 with apprentice Lester Grace booked to ride. At this early stage he looks likely to line up there but here at Dynamic we always have a backup plan and will assess our options over the coming days.
Excellent Point will look to emulate his first up victory
Savage Blaze will step up in distance to 1900m after a promising run over 1550m two weeks ago also under lights at Canterbury. The 6yo Savabeel Gelding has been impressive over the past few months managing to produce two wins and two placings in his last 5 starts. Although nominated for Sunday at Newcastle as well, the step up in distances looks ideal and as we see him get over more ground, the good results should continue to follow. Savage Blaze drew 6/11 for Friday night and is set to be guided home by the inform Jimmy Cassidy if the decision is made to go there.
Savage Blaze has been in great form in recent times
Dream Choice is also set to resume on Friday night and David Payne has him raring to go on the back of two lead up trials. Dream Choice is yet to claim victory first up however he has shown that he performs extremely well fresh as his first up stats read four starts for three placings. The 4yo Redoute’s Choice gelding has won over $70,000 in prizemoney for his owners and has come back a fit and strong looking racehorse this preparation. Dream Choice has taken plenty away from his time in the paddock and has obviously matured as a thoroughbred. He is ready for another stint on the racetrack where we hope to see further improvement on last preparation. Jimmy Cassidy who has won on Dream Choice previously has been booked and he has drawn well in barrier 5 of 10 and should enable him to settle where we see fit.
Jimmy Cassidy will reunite with Dream Choice on Friday night
The final runner that was also originally nominated for Friday night but has been accepted for Rosehill on Saturday is Laughing. She has now had 3 runs in this campaign and has shown that she is a genuine city class galloper. After finishing second on debut, Laughing went on to win her maiden race at Warwick Farm in class record time aided by an excellent ride from boom apprentice Jenny Duggan. Two weeks ago, she made her Saturday Metropolitan debut finishing 3rd in a small field of impressive 3yos. Upon seeing the nominations for both races, a decision was made that Saturday looked the better option for this progressive Distorted Humor filly. Jenny Duggan will again take the ride on Laughing who will carry just 51kgs after the claim and will jump from barrier 4 of 6.
Laughing will once again be looking to finish at the head of the pack
Magniloquent has also been accepted for the 3yo Benchmark 67 handicap over 1900m metres on Saturday. In only a field of seven runners, Magniloquent has drawn barrier four with top Sydney jockey, Corey Brown due to ride. Magniloquent showed last start that he has the makings of a nice racehorse after making the trip north to Peter Moody’s Sydney stable and going on to win at Hawkesbury in impressive style. Since that run, he has progressed nicely and Saturday’s assignment looks a good place for his next run. The step up in distance to 1900m should suit the son of Magnus down to a tee and we are hopeful of seeing a good performance from this improving 3yo.
Magniloquent will step up to 1900m on Saturday
Over the coming seven days, we are also likely to see a number of other runners head to the racetrack in country and provincial areas. Among these will be the Darren Smith trio King Bing, Alleviate and Heaps More who will be looking for victories of their own. Peter Moody is set to run our 3yo Commands gelding, Medvedev for his first race start at Seymour on Thursday. He has been nominated for other races to this point but at this stage Seymour is looking the likely option. We wish all the best of luck to these horses and their owners over the coming week and are hopeful of some positive results.
