Congratulations to our owners of
BORIS BADENOV and MESTALLA after the
Dynamic Duo both won their respective races at Beaudesert on Sunday afternoon.
It was a terrific day for our trainer
CHRIS MUNCE as well as he took three runners to the races on the day and produced a winning treble, scoring in race 5 with
BORIS BADENOV, race 6 with Good Judge and race 7 with
MESTALLA.
BORIS BADENOV
The win by
BORIS BADENOV became our
449th Race win for Dynamic Syndications horses.
He won race 5 the Beaudesert Soft Drinks Class 4 over 1200m recording 1:10.38 on a track rated a Soft 6. Ridden by Chris’ young apprentice Michael Murphy, the inexperienced 3.0kg claiming boy rode a copy book ride and
Big, Bad Boris gave his rivals a galloping lesson when scoring by 1 length x 3.3 lens.
As they jumped away the field scooted along with
BORIS BADENOV sitting patiently on the back of the leaders. Approaching the home turn, the horse was asked for an effort and rallied quickly to go up and join the leaders as they swung for home. He quickly skipped away from his peers and was full of running with only the favourite giving chase. As the margin back to third continued to widen. However
BORIS BADENOV safely had the runner-up covered over the final 100m and was allowed to coast to the post for an easy win.
His career is now 15 starts: 4 wins, 4 seconds, 3 thirds
CONGRATULATIONS goes to his top team of owners: Dynamic Syndications Racing, Mr J Yianni, Ms D G Hall, Mr M C Smith, Mr A Yianni, Mrs G M Gammage, Mr M J Bodsworth, Mr V P M Chau, Mr A C F Collins .
MESTALLA
He won race 7 on the programme the
Clear Summer Lodge “COUNTRY QUEENSLAND SHOWCASE” Bench Mark 70 Handicap 1400m in 1:23.88 on the now upgraded Soft 5 surface.
MESTALLA was ridden by Robbie Fradd. In another easy victory, he started $2.70 favourite was able to go to the post eased down the final 50m to record a 0.4 len x 0.8 len margin.
It was anticipated that they would go very quick in this event and we had anticipated sitting 2-3 lengths back off the speed and make a move before the home turn as we had with
Boris Badenov 2 races earlier. However that script went out the window as they jumped with
MESTALLA sizzling from the gates to dispute the lead. However he was trapped 3 deep and tried to come back but couldn’t get in so was stuck out 3 wide facing the breeze throughout. Despite the torrid run and working so hard on the tricky Beaudesert layout, Fradd, pushed the go button on the turn and
MESTALLA raised another effort to scoot to the lead. He was a length and a half in front and in no danger so his rider was kind to him in the run to the line.
This was the feature showcase race on the programme worth $20,000 prizemoney as opposed to the standard $16,000 of the other events.
MESTALLA resumed from a spell on Melbourne Cup Day where he ran a super race to finish second at Doomben before a transport accident saw him with a deep cut on his leg that took several weeks to heal. He ran on Magic Millions Day but despite a good effort, the barrier cost him any chance of winning that day. With that run under his belt at 1200m, Sunday’s 1400m was ideal and he saluted.
His career now reads 20 starts: 4 wins, 5 seconds, 2 thirds.
Congratulations to the loyal team that race MESTALLA: Dynamic Syndications Racing, Mr R J Gall, Mr W Hunter, Mr V P Chau, Mr B N Williams, Mr D G Ritchie, Mr N W Honey, Mrs A W Edwards, Mr S P Loane, Mr A Pino, Mr M Watson, Mr W G Roser, Mr R F Hambleton, Mr E P Holoway, Mr A G Bradley, C J R Racing
The win by MESTALLA clocked up win number 450 for Dynamic horses.
