The Teams at
both Dynamic Syndications and Gai Waterhouse Racing have our fingers crossed that outstanding 4yo racemare
CLADOCERA can add more black type to her growing resume and her outstanding race form when she lines up in Race 3.
Such is the depth and quality of our
Gai Waterhouse trained EXCEED AND EXCEL ex RED FEVER filly’s pedigree, that it’s no surprise that a close relative to her is lining up over the carnival.
OUR FILLY - Exceed and Excel ex Red Fever
Sitting prominently on her pedigree page,
CLADOCERA who was already been a
Stakes Winner in France when we purchased our filly in January, will contest Race 3, the Duke of Cambridge Stakes (formerly Windsor Forest Stakes) (Group 2) (Fillies & Mares) at 8 furlong (1609m).
CLADOCERA has added some significant pedigree updates since we purchased our filly.
This racing preparation
CLADOCERA has had
4 race starts.
She was 2nd when resuming in the Hyde Stakes, a Listed Race at Kempton Park (England) over 8 furlongs (1609m).
Then she was sent to Dubai where she won her next 2 starts at Meydan, both at Gr2 level.
At her second start this preparation she won the Cape Verdi S.,
Gr2 at 1600m and then at her third start she won the Balanchine S.,
Gr2 at 1800m.
At her most recent start she finished 6th at
Gr1 level over 1800m in Dubai Turf, finishing behind
Solow - who franked that form, by winning the Queen Anne S., Gr1 on Day 1 of this 2015 Royal Ascot carnival.
Our filly’s dam
RED FEVER is a daughter of PROSPECT FEVER - herself a ½ sister to
CARELAINE – dam of 3 Stakes Winners including
CAESARINE – a Stakes Winner in France and the dam of
CLADOCERA.
So we will be watching Race 3 on the programme with great interest, hopeful that this already highly successful and valuable, dual Gr2 winner and Listed Winner and also Listed placed racemare, can add any further black type to her resume in another Gr2 event.
However on form, it may be a hard assignment as
CLADOCERA is a true back marker and the only back marker in this race. With just 8 starters and with a dawdling pace expected, it may prove mathematically too difficult to pick up the leaders in a sit and sprint event. However like all race followers – we always live in hope.
CLADOCERA race record: 8 starts: 4 wins and 1 second.
Her catalogue page has padded out nicely.
It has massively improved from this in January:
CLADOCERA (f by Oasis Dream)
2 wins at 1600m in 2014 Longchamp Prix des Lilas,
L, Chantilly Prix des Gres.
To now read as this:
CLADOCERA (f by Oasis Dream)

Gr2, Cape Verdi S.,

CLADOCERA is not the only pedigree update that our filly has seen enhance her page since we purchased her in January.
In fact there has been a total of
7 catalogue improvements.
In addition to
CLADOCERA, the other six improvements to date which have significantly strengthened the commercial value and appeal of her pedigree are:
