Dynamic Sire, Commands, is closing in on his 50th individual stakes victor after Khemosabi ran the race of his career on Saturday to claim his first black-type success in the $65,000 Listed Waikato Stud Opunake Cup (1400m) in Taranaki.
Khemosabi became the 48th individual stakes winner for Command’s progeny when the 6yo gelding went out and won at a big price by an even bigger margin of 5.3 lengths.
Commands, who stands at Darley Kelvinside, has been Australia's Champion Sire for race winners for the last two seasons and heads the table this season with 136 winners.
Commands is closing in on 50 individual stakes winners
This put him six clear of Redoute's Choice on 130 with fellow Dynamic sires Fastnet Rock, Lonhro and Encosta de Lago also in the hunt on 129 winners.
We are due to start syndicating a Commands filly out of the stakes placed New Zealand mare, Making Fey who has produced 5 runners to race, all of whom are winners.
Among these 5 winners is the Group 1 winning two year old, Apercu, who became the mare’s first black type winner when she won the Gr1 TJ Smith Classic in 2007.
Apercu, half sister to our filly, won the Gr1 TJ Smith Classic in 2007
The family is littered with black type performers and our filly is produced on the Commands – Zabeel cross which has produced stakes winners including dual Gr1 winner, Purple and multiple stakes winner and twice Gr1 placed, Rain Affair along with Gr2 winner Altar and Stakes Winner Royal Commands..
Our filly has an outstanding pedigree rating of A+++ which is the highest possible rating available.
She will be trained by Sydney’s leading trainer, Chris Waller, who is due to be crowned NSW and Sydney’s leading trainer of 2011/12 as well as the most prolific metropolitan winning trainer Australia wide.
Our filly is a lovely big individual that has plenty of power in her hind quarter and is conformationally very sound.
Our Commands - Making Fey filly is an imposing type
Her x-rays came back clean and the team at Bimbadeen Park have reported that she has broken in nicely and performs well undersaddle at the early stage of her career.
She will be up for syndication for $9,900 for a 5% share which will cover all fees up until the 31st of September 2012.
Our filly will have terrific residual value because she will always be a 1/2 sister to a Gr1 winning 2yo who is bred on terrific cross that has proven its worth time and time again.
