Autumn racing gets the blood flowing as the excitement of outstanding equine competition fills the air.
With the first round of stakes races set to kick off at Warwick Farm this weekend and the next few months full of exhilarating contests to unfold, Dynamic Syndications have our fair share of quality gallopers ready to contest some of these events.
A quick snapshot of our 28 horses in work includes:
Racing SATURDAY 9/2/13:
Warwick Farm
SAVAGE BLAZE – Expect him to keep performing well now he is at distances beyond 2200m.
MASTERSTROKE – Has been ultra consistent in recent races and on dry tracks is always a competitive hope.
DREAM CHOICE – Courageous winner of a city race transferred to Wyong last start over 1350m. At his best on dry tracks at 1400m. In peak form and always competitive.
Newcastle:
NOTHIN’ DOING – Found an unsuitable race on a badly rain affected surface on debut, where ridden too close to the speed on that occasion. Up in distance and with speed on and finding cover this horse is expected to improve. Will be at his best on top of the ground over 1600m.
Trials MONDAY 11/2/13:
At Newcastle we will have 4 runners all having easy times in their first of two trials before resuming in early March.
ATOMIC FORCE – Dual Group 1 and Dual Listed Race winner continues to make solid progress and please everyone.
MIDNIGHT AT ASCOT – Stakes Placed and looking forward to a profitable Autumn carnival. Had a set back last preparation but is progressing without issue.
CURFEW – Unraced 3yo 1/2 brother to MIDNIGHT AT ASCOT. Signs are very encouraging he has inherited ability at least to the equal of his sibling. Expect him to be competitive wherever he races.
EXCELLENT POINT – Tough and honest campaigner that has been progressing well this preparation and we expect him to continue showing the goods on the track.
Whilst our fifth trial horse is:
SUPERIOR INSTINCT – Always handy and will have a soft time before he resumes at Rosehill on 16/2 in a Bm85 1200m.
Tuesday TRIALS 12/2/13:
BLOWIN’ YOUR MIND – If he can replicate the form he showed in his first preparation then he will be competitive in all events. Coming back from hoof issue that cost him extended time on the sidelines waiting for the new hoof wall to grow down but is on target and stable is happy to date.
Racing WEDNESDAY 13/2/13:
FULL BLAST – Won impressively first up at Newcastle and has the ability and credentials to have a profitable preparation. Well above average.
Racing THURSDAY 14/2/13
TRICK SHOT – Racing well without luck in town but drops back here to a provincial class 2 event for F&M at 1600m. A simple retention of her current form would see the mare very well placed in this race.
Racing SATURDAY 16/2
LIGHT FINGERS STAKES Group 2 3yo Fillies SW 1200m.
Warwick Farm
SECRET DELIGHT – Simply can’t be happier than we are at present with this filly that is well above average and handles all racing surfaces. Had a top preparation first time in but being a late foal was at a physical disadvantage. Now more mature, she is getting tongues wagging at the track. Solid support early betting but scratched from last week to be saved for this first up. Hopeful of a profitable campaign in the black type races ahead.
SUPERIOR INSTINCT – Had a setback after resuming from a spell in December but is now ready to roll. Goes well and has genuine city ability. Technically he resumes here over 1200m and always goes well fresh. Trialling Monday again leading into Saturday’s race after a recent top trial at Randwick.
Kembla Grange
PERPLEXITY – Nice horse on the way up. Will be heading to the races for the first time. This son of Lonhro wants 1600m and further but should sprint well fresh. He certainly appears to be a promising horse that will end up in lot better races than this once the distances increase.
HORSES in pre-training or early stages of training at the stables and are about 6 – 8 weeks away from trialing that have displayed above average ability to date include:
MAGNILOQUENT (Peter Moody)
MEDVEDEV (Peter Moody)
HIRAD (Mick Price)
