No surprise to see Chris Waller produce another city double
Wednesday was another positive day for Dynamic trainers Mick Price and Chris Waller who each managed to capture winning doubles with the horses they had engaged.
Chris Waller strengthened his grip on the titles he is defending by further increasing his lead in the Australia wide training premiership with a double at Canterbury.
The double brings him to 37.5 metropolitan winners for the season among 46 total wins at a strike rate of over 25%.
Yesterday started well for Chris when Above All was rated perfectly by Jim Cassidy in the first event as he outsmarted his rivals and claimed top prize in the small but competitive field.
Waller’s next winner came in the 3rd race where promising stayer Coup Acclaim continued his 100% record of finishing in the placings by winning the Gow-Gates Insurance Benchmark 73 over 1900m.
The comfortable 2 ½ length win by Coup Acclaim adds to the already strong performances from Chris Waller’s middle distance and staying horses that he is racing this Spring.
Mick Price also saluted with a double yesterday as two of his horses managed to gap their respective fields and win comfortably at Sale.
His first victory was in the opening race on the card with the heavily backed Al Aneed winning effortlessly at just his 2nd start.
The More Than Ready colt jumped well for jockey Glen Boss who always looked confident and subsequently strolled pass his rivals for an easy 2 ½ length win.
Mick’s next victory came when Magic Albert mare, Lakers Bay made it her 3rd win from just 13 starts over 1736m.
Mick Price also had a good day
The promising middle distance horse has made an impressive start to her racing career and continued it yesterday with a fine display.
Mick has also started the season well with 22 winners at a strike rate of 18.2% which places him 7th for total winners in Australia and currently 2nd in the Victorian training premiership.
The double from Mick Price puts him in good stead to continue his winning vein of form when he lines up three horses over the weekend that will carry our Dynamic silks.
The first of them lines up on Friday Night at Mooney Valley when Atomic Force looks to provide another healthy cheque for his owners in the Moir Stakes.
The second and third runners line up at Mornington on Grand Final Saturday with Hirad looking to break his maiden status after an impressive debut and Midnight at Ascot looking ideally placed in the final event.
We wish the best of luck to both Chris and Mick this coming weekend and specifically, to our Dynamic Ownership Teams.
Make sure you regularly check our Dynamic Syndications website for more information on these respective stables and all Dynamic horses.
