"Living the Dream" is what all racehorse owners want to achieve when they contemplate an investment in equine bone, muscle and potential.
DREAM CHOICE in full flight winning at Randwick 10-10-15
When the dream becomes a reality, the raw emotion, exhilaration, fun, excitement is something that can't easily be described unless you are fortunate to have lived the experience.

Winning Connections
Pablo Bonilla - Well Dressed !
On Saturday at Randwick,
DREAM CHOICE lived up to his name and delivered these emotions.
We had contemplated some changes with
DREAM CHOICE to get him back into the Winner's Circle. The winkers came off and the blinkers went back on.
DREAM CHOICE has been running good races this preparation without luck and found a race at Royal Randwick on Saturday where the speed was genuine but not a lot of early toe and the race map showed us that the odds-on favourite would most likely lead from an inside draw without others pressuring.
This gave us an opportunity on paper to roll across without being bustled and sit at the girth of the leader. With the blinkers back on
DREAM CHOICE would be able to follow a leader rather than over race in front.
Add into the equation that
DREAM CHOICE was well handicapped for the first time in over 12 months, being allotted 56.5kgs as a benchmark 76 horse and it was a masterstroke to engage boom Melbourne apprentice
REGAN BAYLISS who is as strong as the senior male riders, yet still claims 2.0 kgs ensuring
DREAM CHOICE would carry just 54.5 kgs after the claim, a massive 6.5kgs less than he carried in an Open Company Feature Race at Canberra last start.
His two runs prior to that,
DREAM CHOICE had carried 57.0kgs in the same Benchmark grade but in much bigger and stronger depth races, yet was beaten just 3 lengths on average in each of these previous races.
Technically he was rock hard fit now and with a postage stamp weight, compared to previous events.
Add in the fact he had been freshened since his previous run and was back from carrying 61.0kgs over 1400m to 54.5kgs over 1200m and was under no pressure on the speed map.
His work had been good since Canberra however a short 50m dash on Thursday morning leading into the race, switched him on mentally.
Gary Moore turned out
DREAM CHOICE in a picture of health, positively gleaming in the pre-race parade as was noted by TV presenter
Caroline Searcy who commented on his glowing appearance saying he was in her top selections and
DREAM CHOICE looked good for
GARY MOORE.
Astute punters knew he was way over the odds, backing him late from 16/1 into 12/1.
REGAN BAYLISS rode us the perfect race for the tactics we had identified could win.
We asked REGAN to be positive and flush out the favourite KASIANO LAD to push up and hold the fence, which would give us the sit on the favourite and with a 4.0kg pull in the weights.
Then as they were ready to turn into the straight, eyeball this anticipated leader before kicking at the 300m and make the favourite work to catch us under the weights.
DREAM CHOICE won the start and as expected, the race fell into place as KASIANO LAD kicked up to hold the fence with PRESS REPORT and DUPE 'EM 2 lengths behind and these 4 horses breaking away from the rest of the field, stringing them out.
At the 800m REGAN had
DREAM CHOICE 3/4 length off the favourite, sitting and stalking the leader and now, 3 lengths back to the chasers.
At the 600m REGAN slipped a little rein to
DREAM CHOICE who was now 1/2 a length off the leader and the others under heavier riding trying to make ground.
At the 400m REGAN had
DREAM CHOICE eyeballing the leader and then, pushed the go button at the 350m and our horse responded.
At the 200m DREAM CHOICE had swept to a one length lead and was full of running whilst the favourite was going backwards.
The chasers were under hard riding, trying to bridge the gap but to no avail.
With 50m to run REGAN had
DREAM CHOICE 2 lengths in front and in no danger, so he was riding under hands and heels.
BETTER NOT ME with just 53.0kgs on its back, ran on down the outside to claim second position under hard riding to eventually finish 1.5 lengths behind us with PRESS REPORT hanging on to nose out DUPE 'EM for third spot.
Not only did
DREAM CHOICE break his opponent’s hearts, he ran sizzling time in the process.
DREAM CHOICE winning race 3 at Randwick 10-10-15
In race 3 on the programme, the
TFE Hotels Hcp BM85, DREAM CHOICE ran 1:09.28 for the 1200m trip, coming home in a slick 33.61 secs with the rail out 6 metres. Our plan had worked and the mathematics of the race ensured it was almost impossible to be run down and that's how the race panned out.
We were delighted for our great team of owners who had just experienced their
7th race win with DREAM CHOICE and had seen their horse clock over the
$300,000 prizemoney barrier.
We were also delighted to share the win with excellent young apprentice
REGAN BAYLISS who is making a name for himself in Melbourne and will be a welcomed edition to the Sydney ranks for the next few months.
Regan Bayliss returns aboard DREAM CHOICE
Regan Bayliss said in his post-race interview to Sky Channel’s Greg Radley: "The horse (Dream Choice) was very well prepared today, he looked the best in the yard and he looked very fit,"
"I was quietly confident"
"Last preparation, he was only beaten a length and a half by Dothraki in a benchmark 95 and today he dropped back significantly in grade.”
"On top of that he dropped 6.5kgs on his last start and with no weight on his back he was able to control the speed and give a good kick."
However it was our wonderful trainer
GARY MOORE who deserves much credit.
GARY MOORE enjoys the moment !
The horse had looked fantastic each run this preparation and had been working well but racing without luck. Some well thought out gear changes, switching his training regime and scratching from the previous holiday Monday meeting to run at Randwick on the Saturday proved a telling factors.
Adam Watt
Credit where it’s due also has to be given to
Dynamic Syndications Adam Watt who identified the race and worked the speed map and then developed the tactics. It was also Adam who identified Regan to be the right apprentice to ride
DREAM CHOICE and then Adam worked closely with the super friendly
Gary Moore, who implemented our plans professionally and effortlessly.
Gary Moore is a Champion trainer in his own right but is also such a fantastic guy to work in with our team at Dynamic. We also acknowledge the dedicated work of Gary's hard working staff.
This truly was a great team effort.
Regan Bayliss reports in to Peter Wagstaff
It was also terrific to see and hear
Peter Wagstaff represent Team Dynamic owners so professionally in the post-race interview with Carolyn Searcy.
Overall this race win was very satisfying in many ways for all our connections and proves what a team effort racing actually is and what that team effort can achieve together.
All that work is so rewarding and there is nothing more satisfying than to see the wonderful expressions of excitement on the faces of our Dynamic Owners as they enjoy their racehorse, ownership experiences.
Well done all !
