POLITE (USA).
Bred at Coolmore Stud and owned by well-known and highly regarded business and racing identity
Michael Crismale (
immediate past chairman of the ATC, current Chairman of the Carbine Club and a current Trustee for the Sydney Cricket Ground),
Dynamic Syndications had raced the 3/4 sister to this filly named
“Pleasantries” in co-ownership with Michael.
She was trained for Team Dynamic by Brad Widdup and was undefeated having 2 starts for 2 wins.
However, through no fault of her own, she was plagued by several unlucky injuries. We know how much ability she had and what she was capable of doing however circumstance prevented her reaching those dizzy heights.
A $130,000 yearling at the 2015 Magic Millions Sales, Pleasantries was by FOXWEDGE (by Fastnet Rock a son of Danehill) whilst this new filly is by EXCELEBRATION (by Exceed And Excel a son of Danehill).
Our filly’s Dam is named
POLITE (USA) a daughter of Elusive Quality who is making giant inroads as a broodmare sire.
Polite has had four foals to race, 3 winners including RAFFINATO (Fastnet Rock) a winner of 5 races, Pleasantries (Foxwedge) undefeated winner of 2 races and Choice Harvest (Choisir) winner of 2 races.
POLITE (USA) is a half-sister to
SW CONSERVE a winner of 10 races twice at Gr2 level.
This is one of the best female families in Stud Books around the world and our filly is closely related to
$5m mare MILANOVA and successful sire
HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR.

Pleasantries was a very good sort as a yearling hence why we went to
$130,000 to secure her.
Now just 3 years later we found this
3/4 sister to be as good a type if not an even better sort.
We felt she may have been placed in the wrong sale being very late within session 5 on Sunday which we considered she may be discounted by the market in the sale ring.
She would have been better placed at the upcoming Inglis Classic or Inglis Easter Book 2 where being a BOBS eligible filly, she would be in higher demand where we felt she may go through at a better price. However here she was in this sale.
As the bidding started we were confident we could secure her but at what price?
We had given $130,000 for Pleasantries but what would we need to give to buy this glamorous individual?
After a couple of minutes of battle
Dynamic Syndications held the bid at just $65,000 + GST. That was half the price we paid for the 3/4 sister and we considered the 2 fillies on par.
To us that was a sensational buy and the first person to congratulate us was none other than
Michael Crismale the vendor, who then advised he would take a
leg (25%) of the filly to race with us, such was the fun he had with Pleasantries and being a part of the
Dynamic Brad Widdup Team.
Documents have been created and submitted to Racing NSW for approval. Once approval is received shares will be available.
