Dynamic fillies Define and
Made To Order are being aimed for a tilt at the
$1million ATC Oaks during
The Championships with both girls set to contest
Group Races for the first time in their short careers this weekend.
DEFINE
Define will line up on Saturday in the
Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes over 1500m at Rosehill with
Craig Newitt to ride from barrier 5 in the 12 horse field. A winner at Randwick over 1400m two starts ago Define has always shown promise throughout her short 5 start career.
We head into tomorrow’s race optimistic that our daughter of
Group 1 winner Fine Society can be competitive at this level, before further progressing as the distance increases throughout the remainder of the preparation. A competitive performance tomorrow will see this daughter of Lonhro head towards the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes at Rosehill on Golden Slipper day.
MADE TO ORDER
The Group racing doesn’t stop on Saturday with our sights being turned towards the
Kembla Grange meeting on Sunday. The
Group 3 Keith Nolan Classic over the mile at Kembla is another important guide and stepping stone for many fillies with
Group 1 ATC Oaks ambitions.
The big group of Dynamic Owners that race
Made To Order will be looking forward to seeing their talented mare step up in distance on Sunday to the more suitable mile event on the roomy Kembla Grange surface, however this is still well short of our goal distance over 2400m on the 19th of April. This is an important stepping stone in a well thought out preparation which started back in November.
We wish the owners of both
Define and Made To Order the best of luck this weekend.
