David Bridoeake trained son of
REWARD FOR EFFORT with certainly on today's performance there should be more wins in store, in particular on soft tracks at this time of the year.
It was a wonderful ride from Dynamic hoop
LINDA MEECH, who has tasted success in the Dynamic silks on many occasions. Linda certainly earned her riding fee having to drive No Pain No Gain, hard to line to win by the bearest possible of margins.
NO PAIN NO GAIN displayed excellent stamina over the 1600m journey. Allowed to settle after the jump, Linda had the horse one off the fence, five pairs back, some 6-8 lengths off the leaders after they had run the first 400m.
The field remained strung out in this pattern until the 800m mark where the pace started to slacken, Linda could see runners starting to whip up around her outside and not wanting to be locked away in a pocket, she elected to give No Pain No Gain plenty of galloping room, angling 3-4 deep in preparation for the sweeping Cranbourne turn.
As they hit the 500m the chase was on and despite being a few lengths off the leading divison, Linda had a lap full of horse underneath her, as he continued to eat up the heavy conditions. Remaining calm and composed she had No Pain No Gain balanced and making good improvement reeling in the leaders.
By the 300m No Pain No Gain had worked up to be outside the leaders, with the heavily backed favourite now right on his back, tracking him into the race.
Then the polish of one of Victoria’s most consistent riders Linda and the horsemanship of team Brideoake came to the fore as NO PAIN NO GAIN dug deep over the final 200m to not allow the favourite Robert De Hero, whom was laying in all over us, to go past us in the run to the post.
Linda Meech returned to scale to be greeted by some of No Pain No Gains enthusiastic owners and after a quick photo opportunity with the owners was interviewed and gave a positive report.
Linda said:
"the owners are the ones that are putting on the races and it is nice for them to get another photo on the wall, that is their second photo on the wall now and hopefully he can string a few more together as he handles the wet tracks and we have now worked out his racing style."
"If you allow him to settle where he is happy and give him plenty of room, he seems to hit the line well."
"It was a milestone win for Brideoake racing and Dynamic, I have ridden plenty of winners for Team Dynamic and I look forward to riding more for them in the future."
This is Dynamic Syndications first Winner with Brideoake Racing, we have five horses with them at present and we have been very impressed with the progress of the horses and the information flow we have been receiving.
It's been a wonderful way to start the new relationship and we will be building upon this in the years ahead.
Congratulations to our terrific team of owners that race
