At the end of October the Team at DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS ventured to the TATTERSALLS SALES in Newmarket England to attend our first Horses-In-Training Sale.
A renowned source for Australian’s to purchase horses bred to run from
2000m to 3200m, the auction attracts buyers from around the world.
At the sale we purchased 2 fabulous northern hemisphere 3yo’s (Southern Hemisphere 4yo’s).
FOOTMAN (GER) and MUSHAIREB (GB)
We're delighted to announce
both horses touched down in Melbourne early on Saturday morning ahead of being transported to the quarantine station at Werribee for 2 weeks.
Reports from the team at
International Racehorse Transport (IRT) who flew our new boys to Australia stated the horses travelled quietly without incident and arrived safe and sound.
They will be released on
16 December before being brought up to Oakridge Spelling Farm.
At least the weather in Melbourne over the past few days has been kind to our Englishmen whom have come from snow flurries at home to the warmth of an Australian summer.
At The Sales:
DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS were active on the first day of the 2017 Tattersalls Horses-In-Training Sale, when we went to 30,000 guineas for Lot 151, the well-bred and well performed German bred 3yo bay gelding FOOTMAN (GER) who had been trained by RICHARD HUGHES from his Weathercock House Stables on behalf of his clients: Highclere International Racing Ltd.
FOOTMAN (GER)
To be trained by GAI WATERHOUSE and Adrian Bott
This is a magnificent looking and very athletic individual with plenty of scope and he covers good ground with a lovely easy flowing action.
Importantly he was passed as sound and right by our veterinarian Dr Tim Roberts and an ideal horse to buy for Australian Racing Conditions.
FOOTMAN (GER) is a son of the Irish bred sire
CACIQUE (IRE) – (a son of DANEHILL) out of the German bred mare
FLAMES TO DUST (GER), herself an unraced daughter of super sire
OASIS DREAM. FLAMES TO DUST is a sister to three (3) Stakes horses from the wonderful international family of
GERMANO and
GAY HELLENE.
Our newest member of the
Dynamic Syndications Team is from the same family as Hong Kong Stakes Winner
BAHAMIAN DANCER (Bering) whilst also in the family is Canadian Group 2 Winner
MOON SOLITAIRE along with Stakes Winners
FANTASTIC DON, FANTASTIC BID, CAPE TRIBULATION, etc.
CACIQUE (the sire of FOOTMAN) is the full brother to outstanding sires
DANSILI and CHAMPS ELYSEES.
Cacique had a Race Record of 18 starts: 7-5-1 and Earnings of £844,751. Major wins: Prix Daniel Wildenstein (2004), Prix Daphnis (2004), Prix du Chemin de Fer du Nord (2005), Manhattan Handicap (2006), Man o' War Stakes (2006).
Cacique (Ire) was a dual Group 1 winner and has sired three Group 1 winners.
Despite covering small books due to infertility issues, which ultimately caused his early retirement from Stud Duties in 2016, he proved to be a sire sensation with a career high of a phenomenal
21% Stakes Horses from his raced progeny.
FOOTMAN (GER) has been an incredibly consistent performer despite not having his photo taken where it matters most – at the finish line.
However, this was his major appeal to us –
he still has available all the easy races in Australia and promises to be a lot of fun and a good money spinner.
FOOTMAN has started on 9 occasions with his most recent start (his 7th this preparation) on the 12th October.
He has finished in second position on 5 occasions and there is no doubt has his hoof on the till here at Newmarket.
He has finished in 2nd position his past 2 starts and run 2nd in three of his past four racetrack appearances.
Importantly videos of his races show he takes up a forward position and fights hard and without doubt has been unlucky not to have broken through several times.
That’s why our Dynamic Team swooped and made him our Number 1 priority on Day 1 of the TATTERSALLS Horses-In-Training Sale at Newmarket in the UK.
Our owners should receive the spoils of a racehorse with obvious ability who has all the hallmarks of being capable of achieving excellent racetrack results beyond 1600m to 2400m.
Don’t just take our word for it – Despite being a maiden
TIMEFORM has rated him a high score of 86 and describe him as “a strong maiden who races prominently and races strongly.”

It was freezing on the gallop tracks at Newmarket this morning - Fiona, Adam, Dean, Richard Logan, Tim Roberts, William Haggas (Trainer) and Adam Turnbull
On Day 2 of the sale, was our primary target of the whole catalogue.
Tuesday morning at the Tattersall’s Horses-In-Training Sale at Newmarket when our number 1 target entered the salering.
Lot 440 was a sensational sort – a 3yo gelding owned by Al Shaqab Racing named MUSHAIREB.
MUSHAIREB - a 3yo in full racing that has started 5 occasions: 2 wins, 1 third, 1 fourth.
An impeccably bred horse with conformation to support his pedigree page and excellent racetrack performances,
we identified MUSHAIREB to be our primary objective of the sale.
On a cold, overcast morning at Newmarket, he went into the ring ten minutes after the start of Day 2 and left the salering the
property of Dynamic Syndications.
Anyone who sees his incredible recent race win 21 September will be in awe.

Click the link above to view the race footage.
Please note he gets back in the run early and colours are: Silver, Gold Braid, Maroon Cap, Gold Tassel.
As you’ll see in the video, he was more than impressive when being held up at the rear before starting to make headway.
The jockey looses his iron at the furlong mark and Mushaireb races erratically as a result.
Amazingly and despite this Mushaireb still knuckles down over the concluding stages to record a stunningly easy victory.
Mushaireb will be trained by Brad Widdup at Hawkesbury.
Our veterinarian Dr Tim Roberts re-iterated, “Take home the Best of the Best and you will be rewarded”– we worked hard to find these 2 gems and we are very excited for their futures.
It had been emotionally tough on day 1 at these sales, having purchased lot 151, we had several other horses identified that we would have liked to purchase as well.
However as per our business plan we were only to buy two UK Stayers this year, so it was challenging to say the least, to have sit and watch these other quality horses go through the ring in our acceptable price zone.
We needed to be disciplined to concentrate on our ultimate end game.
We were delighted when the gavel came down on our bid of 60,000 guineas (AUD $113,000 approx) to be taking home such a horse.

Hear from Adam Watt at the Tattersalls sales chat about MUSHAIREB
MUSHAIREB is the 3rd Foal of the Dam: Hidden Brief (GB).
Hidden Belief was Stakes Placed in France - a 2000m Winner and placed on 5 occasions:
She is a full-sister to a smart Group 3 and Listed winner at 1600m to 2000m winner - HARZAD.
MUSHAIREB is a useful handicapper.
He Won at Pontefact by 1.75 len in September. Last start he finished 3rd of 8 having been set a hopeless task by his rider when getting too far back in his race position and then was not unduly punished in the run.
He certainly stays 1 mile (1600m) and gives every indication by his racing pattern that he wants much further. He acts on all ground and has won on Good and Heavy surfaces. His racing pattern has been to be restrained towards the rear in his races and he travels strongly.
Closely related to Australian performer SWASHBUCKLING (IRE), 6 races at 4 and 5 years, 2017 in UK and in Australia including Schweppes Chairman's Handicap, Randwick, Gr.2, placed 6 times including third in Schweppes Sydney Cup, Randwick, Gr.1.
2017 Timeform Rating 95+
(a “+” symbol beside the number indicates that the horse may be better than rated score)
2016 Timeform Rating 85
Current British Horse Association Official Rating 85
Great families continue to produce stakes-horses and MUSHAIREB certainly appears; on his exposed formlines, racetrack ability and his fabulous family, that upon his current Timeform rating and BHA Rating, he should be a Sydney Saturday class contestant and in the depleted staying ranks in Australia, black type should not be beyond him.
MUSHAIREB – His Sire: INVINCIBLE SPIRIT
A prepotent Sire of Sires with 15 Sons at Stud.
Sire of 15 individual Gr1 Winners, 175 Stakes Winners, He’s in the same mold of his famous father Green Desert.
Sire of 3 Gr1 Winners on 2016.
Last season his yearlings sold up to 750,000 euros.
His Race Record: 17 Starts: 7 Wins, 1 Second, 1 Third.
Invincible Spirit (foaled 17 February 1997) is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse.
After winning two of his four races as a two-year-old, he only raced twice as a three-year-old, without success. In 2001 he won twice, including his first Group race win in the MacDonagh Boland Stakes. He won the Duke of York Stakes in 2002, and the Group 1 Haydock Sprint Cup at the end of that year.
Since retiring from racing he has become one of Ireland's leading stallions, with his progeny including Fleeting Spirit, Kingman, Charm Spirit, Lawman, Mayson and Moonlight Cloud. Invincible Spirit was trained by John Dunlop.
Finally, in SUMMATION:
We went to the TATTERSALLS Horses-In-Training Sale with our veterinarian Dr Tim Roberts with a philosophy to be disciplined and identify those horses that have the conformation, substance, scope and exposed ability to make it as a racehorse over ground in Australia. We are delighted with our purchases.
With record prizemoney on offer and the proven strike rate of European horses in Australia –
“If you can’t beat ‘em – join ‘em.”
We want our Dynamic owners to enjoy success in this range and share the spoils of victory. Who knows what may achieve together?
