Dynamic Syndications sent around 9 horses at the trials over the past 2 days with four (4) trialling at Newcastle on Monday and five (5) trialling at Rosehill on Tuesday.
These horses mentioned below are all Magic Millions graduates and are up at the right time to compete on the Magic Millions day if they continue to progress as anticipated. Several of these may find their way to the Coast in early January.
NEWCASTLE - Monday:
CURFEW: (Darren Smith) Jumped away and shared the lead throughout in the fastest time of the morning. Going very well and was highly exciting last preparation winning his maiden by 6.5 lengths at Wyong. Big offers to Hong Kong were rejected. Follow him as he is on a ambitious programme if his first two starts back live up expectations, he will be heading towards either the Magic Millions Sprint or the Takeover Target.
MORE TO IT: (Darren Smith) Coming into fitness now, this speed horse by More Than Ready has had one start for one win. Ready to resume now and will be placed to advantage over the coming weeks. Showing she is up to city class she will be given a few runs up the line to build her resume, benchmark rating and bank balance before heading to town.
FULL BLAST: (Darren Smith) Lightly raced and the winner of 4 races and 4 placings from 15 starts he showed he has his hoof on the till after a nose second in his trial. This Benchmark 71 rated horse will be well placed in mid-week company and is set to resume at Canterbury in a benchmark 75 1100m. Goes well and highly promising, he gets his chance this preparation to race in better company.
DETTORI: (Darren Smith) This flashy looking gelding with baldy face and white stockings looks a treat at the racetrack and at his first preparation showed he would be more than handy next time in. He had 5 runs in his first preparation where he was lost and inexperienced in his first two starts but the penny dropped to then record a second placing and then two wins before a spell. He wants 1400m + but will resume over a shorter trip to build his foundation. Very promising type, he trialed very well running a close up 3rd over the short 800m trip but was running on strong. That was after a good trial a fortnight earlier. He has improved several lengths and is certainly one to follow.
ROSEHILL TRIALS – Tuesday
REPARTEE: (Peter Moody) She was dominant in her trial, winning her heat by 3 lengths defeating well performed runners The balance of the field finished in a tight bunch. Vilanova the stakes winning and multiple Group placed Waller runner with Hugh Bowman on top, ended up in second place. Dowdstown Charlie a handy city class horse from David Payne’s stable ran third. Whilst the promising Snowden galloper Agadir finished fourth.
She had missed trials recently when they were washed out and went into her first run back with plenty of improvement. We are on a Magic Millions 3yo campaign and had to run. She trialed today to bring on her fitness and she will compete in some handy races over the coming weeks. Already a city class horse this daughter of Northern Meteor with Peter Moody gives us every indication she is destined for some nice wins in good class races.
NO IFS OR BUTS: (Gerald Ryan) This Apache Cat look alike was placed in Sydney on a Saturday at his first preparation and judging by this trial, he won’t be a maiden for long. He finished runner-up in his heat but was not knocked about as this was just a fitness trial. He will trial again in a fortnight and will be at the track shortly after. He has the ability to match his pedigree and looks and is capable of wining nice races. He will be something follow in a set weights maiden.
SECRET DELIGHT: (David Payne) She ran a super trial showing good gate speed until fitness told the final 50m. She will have another trial in a fortnight. This mare is a city winner and stakes performer who had a setback last preparation. Returning from injury she seems to have improved many lengths and with such a good pedigree behind her, we are hopeful that she will be more than competitive in the near future.
