There were a number of positive results in racing over this weekend with one of our current syndicating filly’s value increasing significantly. Our MANHATTAN RAIN – MISS EXCELLENCE filly had her value substantially increased after the win of OVERREACH in the LR Widden Stakes at Rosehill. Our MANHATTAN RAIN filly is an extremely close relation (¾ sister in blood) to this impressive 2yo who is now the clear favourite for the world richest 2yo race, the Gr1 Golden Slipper.
Dynamic purchased our filly at Magic Millions Yearling sale on the Gold Coast in January of this year for the bargain base price of $90,000. At that time we thought she was under the odds but with the latest win of Overreach, we are now sure of it. She is bred for speed being out of the boom first season sire and a Gr1 winner at 2, Manhattan Rain who was also placed on two other occasions at Gr1 level as a 2yo.
The direct family of Overreach and our Manhattan Rain – Miss Excellence filly is one that Dynamic Syndications have had a lot of fun with in the past and know how to win the big races with. REWARD FOR EFFORT is a ¾ sister to Overreach and a ¾ sister in blood to our Manhattan Rain – Miss Excellence filly. It is a family that consistently produces the big results on track and we believe that our filly could do just that.
Overreach is out of the unbeaten Snippets mare, Bahia who was four from four on track including two wins as a 2yo. Her following progeny are a Flying Spur yearling colt, an Exceed And Excel colt foal and she is currently in foal to Redoute’s Choice. With Overreach already producing the goods and more quality stallions sent to the mare, it would not be difficult to predict the family’s winning numbers increasing significantly.
She has the earliest possible foaling date being born on August 1 which gives her a distinct advantage when aiming towards the lucrative early 2yo races. Being such an early foal, she will have had more time to develop than any other 2yo looking toward races like the Magic Millions early next year. Our filly will be trained by leading Sydney horseman Chris Waller at his Rosehill training base. This weekend Chris broke through for his 100th metropolitan winner of the season and leads his closest rival by a whopping 35 winners giving us further confidence.
Although our filly is impeccably bred, she has another distinct advantage as she is both BOBS and QTIS eligible which enables her to aim for the bonus prizemoney in both Queensland and NSW through their relevant schemes. With these bonus in place, she could potentially be fighting it out for $20,000 in extra money each week when we head to the races which no owner would complain about.
With Overreach earning her first black type victory on the weekend, this already makes our filly a more expensive broodmare prospect on retiring. We are not the only ones to believe that Overreach is the real deal with the bookies installing her as a clear $5.5 favourite for the Gr1 Golden Slipper which occurs in early April. If she were to go on to win or place in the Golden Slipper, this would significantly improve our stud value again and all before she has her chance at racing.
This is very exciting times for Dynamic and their clients as we are syndicating the Manhattan Rain filly for $8,625 for a 5% share. Dynamic strive to bring you quality horses at a cost that doesn’t break the bank which is more than a reality with this filly. Realistically the price of our filly currently would be well over the $120k mark and therefore Dynamic clients have an opportunity to snap up a quality racehorse at a bargain base price from a family with 2yo talent stamped all over it.
Enquiries have come in over the weekend think and fast and we anticipate that she won’t be available for much longer so get in quick. All cost are inclusive up until June 30 with insurance cover up until the end of November.
