Dynamic win #397 as Big Bad Boris Badenov Blitzes ‘em
There were no superheros to save his peers in this event as
Dynamic Syndications galloper BORIS BADENOV (Magic Albert / Badenov’s Babe) blitzed his rivals in a cool, calm and calculated fashion in a Benchmark 62, 1300m Handicap at Ballina on Monday afternoon for young gun
trainer Matthew Dunn and top jockey Timothy Bell. He carried 58.0kgs and posted a 3.5 length x ¾ length margin in 1:19.2 with the last 600m in 34.90.
Runner-up was Run Jake Run (carried 52.0kgs) a previous winner of 8 races and third was Show Day (57.5kgs) a previous winner of 4 races.
A Magic Millions purchase at the 2012 Yearling Sales from the draft of
Yarraman Park, BORIS BADENOV made easy work of his top weight when allowed the luxury to be eased down from the 150m mark in an effortless display of sustained speed and power.
BORIS BADENOV was having his second start. First-up from a spell he was the best of good things beaten in a developed print, when a nose second at the Gold Coast.
In this event he dominated from the front and was never in danger.
His career now reads 5 starts: 2 win and 1 second.
Tim Bell was greeted before the race and was asked to just get him in a rhythm and out of trouble and he should be too good for them.
However we anticipated more speed in the event and we anticipated that we would box seat in the one-one.
Inexplicably, those with the pace on paper dropped back early and Tim summed up things quickly allowing
BORIS BADENOV to stroll forward and take control.
BORIS BADENOV made every post a winner as he bowled along on the speed and from that point he was never threatened.
That’s the way you like to see odds-on favourites do their work. Never threatened, nor challenged and tradesmen like in performance with a minimum of fuss dominating rivals and getting the job done effortlessly when cantering to the post.
Dynamic Dean was on hand at Ballina to greet
BORIS BADENOV back in the winner’s circle where Tim was full of praise for the effort
BORIS BADENOV had put-in.
“He was relaxed and in control from the start” he said.
“I was in the winner at the 1000m and I was super impressed when he turned for home how he picked up the bit and attacked the line – he was strong all the way through”
Tim added “He’s a town horse for sure”.
CONGRATULATIONS to the team that race BIG BAD BORIS !
