Racecourse Parade Ring, an Exceed And Excel three-parts brother to Gr1
Blue Diamond Stakes runner-up No Looking Back, topped proceedings at
HK$6.2 million.
The 16 catalogued lots sold for an aggregate of HK$47.5 million, the
Club's executive director of Racing, noted: "It was a good sale today,
there were a lot of good choices for owners.” Also “the prices are
higher than December's Sale when the horses went for an average of just
under HK$2.6 million per lot , this time that figure was marginally
below HK$3 million per lot."
"Our overriding aim and hope is that these horses can go on and have
productive racing careers in Hong Kong. The true test of these sales is
helping owners go away from today with a horse that will do them proud
in years to come."
It’s no surprise that the HKJC had an Exceed And Excel since the sire is
held in such high demand. He is a Champion Sire in both hemispheres and
a proven source of precocious thoroughbreds built for speed.
