Exceed and Excel has been rewarded for his herculean efforts throughout the 2012-2013 racing season, being crowned Champion HTBA Stallion at the annual awards dinner last night.

Exceed and Excel has had a stellar season to date with 16 individual stakes-winners including siring all three legs of the Sydney Juvenile Group 1 Races with daughters Overreach (Golden Slipper) and Guelph (Sires Produce and Champagne Stakes) starring over the carnival.
OVERREACH
Exceed and Excel looks destined to claim the 2012-2013 Sires honours within the coming months, he holds a commanding lead over Fastnet Rock and still has many aces up his sleeve in the run to the line. The sire has enjoyed his best season at stud to date in particular with his current crop of 2yo’s, that have gone on to amass a staggering $5,151,160 in prizemoney - a figure that puts him more than $4million clear of his nearest rival.
These deeds have been further highlighted by his daughter Guelph and son Sidestep both claiming the HTBA award for Champion 2 year olds in their respective categories.
GUELPH
Guelph looks destined for further accolades as she is the warm favourite for Champion 2 year old honours following her brilliant 2yo season that saw her capture a lead up event to the Blue Diamond stakes before finishing 4th in the Golden Slipper and winning the final two legs of the Triple Crown.
SIDESTEP
Sidestep was the winner of the colts division following on from his outstanding victory in the Group 2 Pago Pago stakes and his brave second placing in the Group 1 Golden Slipper. Sidestep was immediately spelled following the Slipper in preparation for the Spring.
Such have been the deeds of Exceed and Excel throughout 2012-2013 Darley stud have recently announced that he will stand this season for $88,000 a significant increase on previous years.

Dynamic Syndications were lucky enough to purchase our very own Exceed and Excel colt from the Melbourne Premier Sale. He will be trained by Dynamic Trainer Peter Moody. This follows on from our fantastic results with Exceed and Excels first Group 1 Winner Reward For Effort, whom was purchased from the exact same sale by Dynamic Syndications and was trained by Peter Moody.
