It has been a solid last six months at Dynamic Syndications! In this article we concentrate on the success we’ve had with previously unraced progeny during this time.
The David Payne trained Secret Delight became a duel city winner and a stakes placed filly after a promising first preparation of racing. Her form was further franked on the weekend by the win of Pronto Pronto in the listed Vintage Stakes at Flemington who Secret Delight beat comfortably in LR Rosebud. We are excited to see the continual development of Secret Delight and expect her at the racetrack again in Autumn.
Secret Delight showed promise during the winter months
In more recent times, the past month has thrown up two previously unraced Dynamic horses that look to have big futures. This has brought a smile to our faces as well as the owners involved in both horses. It is extremely pleasing to see the outstanding performances that these debutants have put in to show they are up to the grade.
Hirad, who is trained by Mick Price, ran 3rd in his first two starts despite having some terrible luck during these races. Hirad’s saddle slipped from underneath him on both occasions making it virtually impossible for jockey Dale Smith. The positive news for Dynamic is that we look to have an above average horse whose hoof is firmly placed on the till.
The plan for Hirad is to look at three races next week in an attempt to break his maiden status. These races include a 1300m maiden at Echuca on Monday, a 1400m maiden at Bendigo on Saturday week and a 3yo 1300m race at Seymour on Sunday week. We will have a closer look at all three races and assess what is the best option for the horse.
Hirad is only around the corner from a win
Specific Choice is another that made his racetrack debut within the last month. The Chris Waller trained colt won at Kembla over 1200m and has since won a trial to keep his fitness levels high. He will likely have his second race start on Wednesday at Warwick Farm in which he will contest the BM68 Super Savings Handicap over 1600m.
The step up in distance looks ideal for the son of Lonhro who hit the line superbly in his first start and looks as if he will relish the chance to get to the mile. Although the race looks reasonable strong on paper, this will be a good test for our undefeated colt that looks to be a genuine horse in the making.
Specific Choice is beautifully bred by Lonhro out of the Redoute’s Choice mare, Lady of Choice. The Lonhro – Danehill cross is one of the best crosses in the Australian stud book having produced Gr1 winner Benfica, Gr2 winners Obsequious and Pinwheel and Gr3 winners Deer Valley and Eight Till Late among many more. It would be no surprise for us here at Dynamic to see Specific Choice continue to progress through the grades and add black type to his tally.

Although these two 3yo’s are the only debutants recently, we have a number of other horses getting closer and closer to racing. Amongst these is promising filly Laughing, who has had two trials this preparation for two easy victories. Although you don’t get prizemoney cheques for winning trials it was the ease in which she won that has got Dynamic excited. Gerald Ryan trains the daughter of Distorted Humor and he is confident that she can perform just as well on the racetrack as she has in the trials.
Although it is not confirmed at this stage, Laughing has been nominated to run on Saturday at Kembla where a 3yo fillies maiden handicap over 1000m looks suitable. This would be an ideal start point for this developing youngster and we hope to see her emulate and better the success of our other debutants over the last six months.
We have a number of other unraced horses that are expected to hit the track in the coming months! Among this group is the Darren Smith trained pair Curfew and Idle Chat as well as the Chris Waller trained Hussonet gelding, Dettori. There is a high likelihood that we will see 3yo Commands gelding Medvedev hit the racetrack under the watchful eye of Peter Moody in the near future.
Please keep an eye on the website for more information on all of these upcoming runners and more as we progress.
