There is no more in form trainer in the world of racing then Chris Waller and he further stamped his authority by producing yet another 4 city winners on Saturday in an incredible training performance.
Chris started his day in scintillating fashion getting the quinella in the first with High on Believing beating Mon Soliel and then followed that achievement up when Waller’s apprentice Jason Collett steered home Arinosa to win the 2nd.
Chris then went on to win the Gr3 Kingston Town stakes with Stout Hearted as that horse continues to impress on the race track and looks towards the Melbourne Spring races.
Chris bookended the meet when Velrosso stormed home from last to give Jason Collett a winning double and Chris Waller four wins on the card.
This now improves Chris Waller’s record 38.5 total winners for the season after the weekends racing with 32 of those coming in the metropolitan area.
It put him a whopping 15 wins ahead of his nearest rival in the Australian Metropolitan Trainers’ premiership as well as leading the pack in the Sydney trainers’ premiership, NSW trainers’ premiership and Australian Overall Winners.
Chris Waller & Dean Watt - A Dynamic Duo
Waller also had a winner at Kembla on the weekend when Dynamic Syndications own Specific Choice came from near last to produce a barnstorming run and win on debut over 1200m.
This was another impressive effort from Chris as the colt looks to be a genuine 1600-2000m horse and will only improve with race experience.
Chris has continued to improve his record every year since arriving in Australia in 2000 however so far the results he has produced this year have been nothing short of miraculous.
He has made Sydney racing his own over the past month and a half and is gradually getting stronger and stronger as Spring starts to warm up.
We are currently syndicating a Commands-Making Fey filly to be trained by Chris Waller at his Rosehill stables.
