A torrent of winners and strong results at recent sales has
Newgate Farm’s Foxwedge firmly in favour ahead of the 2016 breeding season.
Proven producer
Cobbley was the top priced mare offering at the
Inglis Great Southern Mares Sale on Tuesday selling for $110,000 with a positive service to Foxwedge.
Cobbley is the dam of Group 2 placed Get That Jive, so her resulting Foxwedge foal will be a most appealing youngster.
Foxwedge also made his mark at the Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale with a colt from Celebrity Appeal fetching $115,000.
His popularity in the sale ring has coincided with a
string of winners through May and June with Star Empire and Urban Fox scoring in North America and the UK, while
Volpe Veloce won a stakes race in New Zealand and Australian winners
Foxplay, Foxy Housewife and Mulder have brought his burgeoning tally to
13 winners.
No Australian first season sire has more Southern Hemisphere winners on the board, putting Foxwedge in an enviable position as we move towards spring.
Foxwedge stands at $22,000 in 2016, which represents real value in light of his current upswing.
Dynamic Syndications and Gerald Ryan have a fabulous FOXWEDGE FILLY from UNDERCOVER available for syndication at $5,995 per share.
Foxwedge progeny are expected to be at their best as 3yo’s and older so for the sire to be making this impact is very promising for his stock in the future.
Last week we were able to get the latest photo of the filly.
