Champion trainer Gai Waterhouse is currently in the USA and will attend the
2015 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearling Sale in New York State, which starts tomorrow (our time).

The select catalogue of 209 lots features a good selection of youngsters by familiar names to us back here in Australia.

Champion sire
Lonhro has made an encouraging start with his first Northern Hemisphere runners and already has seven winners on the board, so his selection of four youngsters if conformationally correct will probably command more interest this time around than they did at Northern Hemisphere sales last year.
His entries are a filly from stakes producing Sadler’s Wells mare Life at the Top, a half-brother to Group 3 placed Crider from Frankie’s Lady; a colt from stakes-placed Gingham and Lace; and a colt from well-related Happy Now, a sibling to five stakes-winners.
Fastnet Rock has one entry, a superbly bred Irish colt that is a half-brother to Group 2 winner Espumanti and stakes-winner Rising Shadow.
Regular shuttler stallions to Australia with representation include:
Bernardini (USA), Congrats (USA), Medaglia D’Oro (USA), Street Cry (IRE) and Uncle Mo (USA) while the first yearlings by Newgate Farm’s young sire
The Factor (USA) are also expected to prove popular.
Gai Waterhouse has Tweeted that she has been impressed with The Factor’s first crop youngsters and she is looking forward to seeing his progeny in Australia.
Gai has also seen some strong precocious running types by leading the US First Crop Sire
Uncle Mo who has 2yo’s this season in Australia.
Gai Waterhouse has recently bought at the JRHA Select Sale in Japan, so it will be interesting to see if she signs for anything at Saratoga.
