On the 1st September
DYNAMIC Syndications ran a story headed:
“DYNAMIC delighted to see BRACTEATE win for Godolphin.”
BRACTEATE
That story was about their exciting 3yo gelding, who had been showing the Godolphin Team above average ability to have nominated him for the
CAULFIELD CLASSIC, the SPRING CHAMPION Stakes and the VICTORIA DERBY.
Dynamic Syndications also highlighted that
BRACTEATE was a very close relation to our
Reward For Effort x Fairy Rainbeam colt.
BRACTEATE a
Medaglia D’Oro three year-old, was was recently gelded and then produced first up at Wyong on 31 August and was heavily backed into second favourite, before forging clear for a dominant length and a half win over 1350 meters.
Bracteate jumped fast from a wide barrier and was allowed to coast over from the bad draw to lead the field not long after jumping. Approaching the turn, leading jockey James McDonald asked
Bracteate to quicken and within a matter of strides, his rivals were off the bit and chasing a long way from home.
Bracteate gave nothing else a chance and with 150m left to run, he was 3 lengths in front of his nearest rival. Jockey James McDonald had a look at the giant in-field television screen at the 75 metre mark and knew the job was done, allowing
Bracteate to coast to the post and establish a highly impressive one and a half length win.
Then on the 21st September,
Bracteate ran over 1350m (too short) and was beaten a head when runner-up at Hawkesbury. Sitting in second place throughout, he was unable to sprint, a sign he is crying out for a mile already.
BRACTEATE gets his first opportunity to add serious black type to his pedigree page this coming weekend, having been nominated for the
DULCIFY Quality Hcp a Listed Race over 1600m at Randwick. Obviously looking for the 1600m trip now that he is third up from a spell, the race looks an ideal stepping stone to
Gr1 races. Importantly, the early nominations for the race do not look overly threatening to him.
1 BACHMAN Gerald Ryan
2 BRACTEATE John O'Shea
3 DEADSET Patrick Webster
4 DUCCIO Gai Waterhouse
5 HAMPTON COURT Gai Waterhouse
6 LADY MACAN David Payne
7 SCRATCH ME LUCKY Paul Perry
BRACTEATE is holding nominations for
3 upcoming Gr1 races;
11 October SPRING CHAMPION STAKES 2000m,
18 October CAULFIELD CLASSIC 2000m,
1 November VICTORIA DERBY 2500m.
BELCENTRA
Bracteate is the third winner from the three foals to race out of Stakes-Winning Bel Esprit mare
BELCENTRA.
This is the family of
Group 1 stars such as
BLACK MAMBA, ROMAN EMPEROR, GLORIOUS DAYS and
TULLY THUNDER.
Fairy Rainbeam the dam of our Reward For Effort Colt, is a half-sister to BELCENTRA, leaving our Reward For Effort colt a very close relation to Bracteate.
OUR COLT -
REWARD FOR EFFORT / FAIRY RAINBEAM
This female family consistently produces high class horses and under the guidance of leading
Caulfield trainer MICK PRICE, we have high hopes for our colt, who is by
BOOM First Season Sire and our former Group 1 Winning Blue Diamond Winner - Reward For Effort.
Trainer - MICK PRICE
Interestingly,
REWARD FOR EFFORT progeny have hit the ground running. He has
4 early nominations for this opening weekend of the 2yo racing scene. This is the most nominations by a First Season Sire, ahead of
Silent Witness and Hinchinbrook (both with 2 race nominations).
On top of having
2 of the Top 6 from 120 plus Breeze-Up Times conducted by William Inglis for their upcoming Ready To Run Sale, there are several others with Huge Wraps on them, currently in work with leading stables in Melbourne and Adelaide.
As the old saying goes
“The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far From The Tree” which is why
Dynamic Syndications continuously sources high quality individuals from superior black-type families, ensuring that our clients are always afforded the best opportunities of racetrack success.
This colt offers an incredible opportunity for racetrack success and is the
least expensive of all our horses for syndication in 2014.
After this weekend as racing really starts to gear up for the spring, first season sire
REWARD FOR EFFORT and BRACTEATE (ex BELCENTRA) if successful, would add huge value to our colt’s commercial value. The way
John O'Shea has his new stables gathering momentum the past couple of weeks, its highly probable that
BRACTEATE will add valuable
Black Type.
OUR COLT - Under Saddle in training
We are currently syndicating our
Reward For Effort x Fairy Rainbeam colt with Mick Price for only $4,475 per share.
