HOME
AFFAIRS is now Champion First Season Sire (in waiting) after Coolmore Stud’s headliner
saw his son GUEST HOUSE demolish his peers in the 2026 Golden Slipper 1200m Gr1
at Rosehill.

Prepared
for the moment by the excellent training combination of Mick Price and Mick
Kent Jnr, the colt went to the barriers with Zac Lloyd in the saddle.
Thanks to a
colt with tremendous ability and a masterful ride by a gun hoop, the pair
produced a devastatingly quick closing sectional to run away from his peers to
claim the $5 million time honoured feature.
Guest House
had the flashing lights on when winning his maiden at Cranbourne in December
and was then placed at his two subsequent starts. He was placed 2nd by 1 length
to Closer Than Free in the Gr3 MRC Blue Diamond Prelude and then finished 3rd by
1 length in the Gr1 MRC Blue Diamond Stakes behind Streisand and Closer Than
Free.
The colt had
to endure heartbreak in both those races as the racing gods were unkind. However,
the masterstroke was grabbing boom Sydney rider Zac Lloyd who gave the colt his
chance to shine and he didn’t let bad luck get in his way when the grand final
kicked off. This time Guest House delivered on potential.

Allowed to
settle in off midfield Guest House travelled well thanks to a fast early tempo.
When he found clear running in the straight and ducking back under runners at
the 150m, he unleashed a sizzling turn of foot.

Guest House
surged through on the inside to turn the tables on Streisand, who was a gallant
second beaten a length and a half with Canberra fairytale gelding Music Time in
third.
It was young
jockey Zac Lloyd’s first Golden Slipper win.
Zac said "It
was high pressure, but my colt, he was fantastic. He's obviously a very good
Home Affairs' colt.
“He broke
on terms. He's been a bit tricky in his mannerisms, but today he was very tractable.
I got on the back of the best jockey in the world and I thought, 'Here we go,
we'll go from here.
“And I just
quickened that well. I was just waiting for a run, but geez, he let down so
well. So, I'm very happy. I'm so pleased for the ownership and Mick Price and
Michael Kent Jnr and Ben Elam, who works here in Sydney.”
Michale
Kent Jr was at Rosehill with Guest House, while Mick Price elected to stay in
Melbourne
Michael
Kent Jr and Ben Elam were elated to achieve Slipper success with a valuable
colt.

“He’s had
three runs where nothing went right. With the speed on, he finally relaxed. Zac
Lloyd, what can I say, he read the pattern, and the horse was so good,” said
Michael Kent Jnr.
“It’s so
right for Mick. I’m so lucky I work with Mick. He’s had so many close calls in
this race. He’s a great two-year-old trainer. Himself and Jeremy Rogers found
the horse.”
“I’m very
excited. I’m rapt for Mick Price. He gave me a big show in this game and I’m
very lucky. And credit to all our staff back at home. A lot of work goes into
these good colts.”
Guest House
has been in Melbourne for much of his preparation, but Ben Elam put the
finishing touches on him this week at Rosehill.
“It’s
incredible. It’s a Golden Slipper. It’s the pinnacle of two-year-old racing,
and he has taken a bit of work. Pre-Christmas, he was a bit of a lad. He went
down to Melbourne, and the Melbourne staff did a terrific job with him. He came
up here in tip-top shape off what was an unlucky run,” Elam said.
“Since he’s
been up here, he has just been an absolute gentleman.”

At the 2026 Yearling Sales the professional market has rallied to the sire.
It was never expected that HOME AFFAIRS would get precocious 2yo’s being the Champion 3yo.
However, all good 3yo’s show something at 2, and with so many of his progeny racing well, the future is extremely bright for HOME AFFAIRS.

Bred on the A+++ genetic cross of
I AM INVINCIBLE over MORE THAN READY
which has produced 4 Stakes Winner all Colts:
ON THE BUBBLES 2018 C Gr1;
BLONDEAU 2017 C;
KINLOCH 2017 C;
ACCESSION 2016 C.
We were thrilled to secure this outstanding colt by Home Affairs the hottest first crop sire in Australia, out of the high-quality mare Bit Of Cheek, a daughter of super sire More Than Ready.
Lot 108 at the Gold Coast was offered by Gerry Harvey’s Baramul Stud.
This colt immediately appealed as the type of horse we love to bring to our owners.
He combines a red-hot young sire, a deep and proven female family, and a physical that matches the sensational pedigree on paper.

Bit Of Cheek was a tough, genuine racemare, winning two races between 1300 metres and 1600 metres. More importantly, she has already proven herself at stud. She has had four foals to race and every one of them has won, a strike rate that always commands attention and gives us confidence moving forward.
Our colt is also a three-quarter brother to the stakes winner Blondeau, a five time winner who earned over $600,000 in prizemoney.
.jpg)
Blondeau’s record includes the Listed Takeover Target Stakes and a placing in the Group 2 Todman Stakes as a 2yo.
The depth of pedigree strengthens again through the second dam Cheeky Choice, a Group 1 and Group 2 winner who was a star in her own right. Cheeky Choice won four races from 1300 metres to 1600 metres and amassed over $625,000 in prizemoney, highlighted by her victory in the Group 1 Flight Stakes and the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes.
She also performed with great credit in multiple elite races, placing in Group 1 company and consistently competing at the highest level.
Cheeky Choice is a full sister to the mare Invisible Coin, the dam of Gypsy Goddess, Champion Three-Year-Old Filly of Australia in the 2021/22 season and winner of the Group 1 Queensland Oaks. This is a family that repeatedly produces top class racehorses, and that sort of ability & consistency is no accident.
From a pedigree cross perspective, this colt is bred on an A +++ pattern.
On the exact I Am Invincible over More Than Ready line mares have proven to be highly effective, particularly when it comes to colts. There have been nine (9) colts to race bred this way, producing eight (8) winners, twenty-seven (27) wins, and a stakes winner. That is an outstanding return and exactly the type of data we look for when assessing long term upside.
Looking more specifically at the exact I Am Invincible over More Than Ready cross, the numbers are equally compelling. When we include the fillies, there has been seventeen (17) runners, fourteen (14) winners, forty-seven (47) wins, two (2) stakes winners, and two (2) additional stakes placed horses.
These figures speak for themselves, reinforcing just how powerful this pedigree pattern has become.
Physically, this colt more than lives up to his page.

He is an outstanding individual with a beautiful, easy action and a natural sense of presence. He has that strong, athletic look that Home Affairs is quickly becoming known for, and he carries himself with confidence and balance.

He is a very typical example of the quality, consistency, and athleticism this young sire is producing.
And Home Affairs is delivering in extraordinary fashion.
On top of that, he has had seven (7) individual stakes performers.
A ratio of seven stakes horses for a first season sire is simply freakish, and it is difficult to recall another young stallion starting out in such unbelievable fashion.
There is one final element that adds even more confidence to this colt.

Gerry Harvey, through his Baramul Stud, has retained 50% equity in the colt to race in partnership with our team. That decision speaks volumes. It reflects genuine belief in the horse he bred, confidence in the sire, and strong alignment with our program.
This colt brings together elite genetics, a sensationally in form young stallion, a deep and proven female family, and a physical type that matches every bit of the pedigree. He is exactly the make and shape of horse we are proud to offer Team Dynamic Owners because every angle of the story stacks up.
Opportunities like this are rare.
When they present themselves, we do not hesitate to add such a horse to our already powerful stable of high-quality equine athletes being trained by Australia’s Leading stable.
Full details are on our website.
