Dynamic galloper HIRAD (3yo gelding Not A Single Doubt / Raven
Protector) scored an easy 7 lengths maiden win in Race 4 at Terang on
Tuesday afternoon. In winning the Centrebest Maiden Plate over the 1206
metre trip, HIRAD carried 58.0kgs and jumped from the outside in barrier
11.
Our rider Ibrahim Gundogdu rode the perfect race for the specific
instructions of leading trainer MICK PRICE. They were simple enough,
“lead” and that’s what happened and the race was over.
Crossing from wide out on the track, after the field had gone 100m HIRAD
was on the fence and in control. Rated perfectly in front by his
jockey, HIRAD who was sent out $2.80 favourite and the TVN Market Mover
controlled the tempo perfectly. He was pestered during the middle stages
by the rank outsider who then started to drop off from the 500m leaving
HIRAD in front by a couple of lengths. As HIRAD entered the straight
the rider lengthened rein and the horse glided away putting up a big
margin in a 50m split that blew away his opposition. Eased down over the
concluding stages, the pair went on to record a winning margin of 7
lengths x 1 length in a time of 1:11.91 for the 1206m trip.

HIRAD has now raced on 5 occasions recording a win and twice third. On
each of his first three starts in his first preparation, his saddle
slipped which certainly inconvenienced him.
Congratulations to his team of owners:

Also big thanks go to the Mick Price Stables. Mick and his team have
always given us every indication we have had a promising racehorse. Last
preparation we knew he was still an immature type of horse and that was
just part of his learning curve. HIRAD had trialled twice leading into
the first up run which he won both trials and we were very upbeat about
his chances heading into Sandown but he hit a Heavy track that day and
was back in the ruck and raced ungenerously pulling up distressed.
We always knew the wraps were a lot better on the horse than that. We
just had to swallow our pride and put a band-aide on our wallets and
wait for his next run. The $2.80 of today’s effort was very generous.
HIRAD was a $75,000 yearling purchase at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale by Dynamic Syndications
HIRAD was Dynamic Syndications 319th Race Win and our 31st win for the 2012-13 Racing Season.
Well Done All !
