Dynamic mare Icy Mist was sold today at the William Inglis Winter Broodmare Sale and even in the cold and blustery conditions at the Newmarket complex, she was one of the hot lots of the morning selling for $48,000 to the delight of her Dynamic clients.
Icy Mist was a multiple, city winning mare and came from a terrific family saturated in black-type performers. She is a half-sister to the Group 2 winning and Group 1 placed colt Courvoiser and half-sister to the stakes placed horse Snow Beauty and Ice King. Icy Mist also hails from the same family of top horses Cent Per Cent, Gray Mirage, Bold Impulse, Texas Gem, Country Pine, Boreale, Donar, Bluebird etc.
The filly was another astute purchase by Dean Watt for Dynamic Syndications back in 2009 for $27,500 at the Inglis Classic Sale from the draft of Emirates Park Stud.
Icy Mist was a city winner under the care of the Chris Waller stable, and was placed in town on a further three occasions under his expert guidance. Icy Mist amassed $66,000 in prizemoney throughout her 17 start career.
Upon the sale of Icy Mist today, it is further vindication for our philosophy on buying well-bred yearling fillies for our clients. Icy Mist is proof that there are significant rewards for our astute investors.
Icy Mist won $66,000 on the track and was sold for a further $48,000 figure today; amassing throughout her career $114,000 for her clients, an impressive figure for a mare that was purchased for just $27,500 as a yearling.
Dynamic Syndications would like to thank the Chris Waller Stable for turning our filly into a valuable commodity and congratulate Icy Mist’s clients on a wonderful career and an outstanding financial return.
