LOPE DE VEGA (Shamardal-Lady Vettori) celebrated
another Gr1 success when 3YO Irish-bred filly
JEYMAYEL (Lope de Vega-Nawa) scored for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget in the
Gr1 Prix Saint-Alary (10 furlongs – 2000m) for 3YO fillies, defeating Camprock and Hawksmoor.
JEYMAYEL is the second top-flight Gr1 winner in as many days for her sire LOPE DE VEGA following the win of BELARDO in the Gr1 Lockinge Stakes at Newbury.
The Al Shaqab-owned Jemayel advanced her record to 2 wins and 2 placings (including the Gr3 Prix des Reservoirs) from 5 starts.
Bred by SF Bloodstock known to Australian’s through their link with Newgate Farm, Jemayel was a €100,000 purchase at the Arqana Deauville October Yearling sale.
LOPE DE VEGA is doing a sensational job at stud.
His oldest are 4yo’s in the Northern Hemisphere and 3yo’s in the Southern Hemisphere and he has already sired
