Two Wins in Four Minutes – that’s the result for Dynamic horses competing on Saturday when SAVAPINSKI won the 3:30pm race at Flemington and then LAMMA HILTON won the 3:34pm race at Newcastle.
Congratulations to our trainer JASON COYLE and a Top Team of Dynamic Syndications Owners, on the win of promising staying mare LAMMA HILTON (by Casino Prince ex Georgia Blues) who put in an ultra-impressive performance to claim a strong victory over 1850m at Newcastle on Saturday.
Two minutes after
SAVAPINSKI crossed the line at Flemington to win the Gr2 Matriarch Stakes, our attention swung to Newcastle for the running of the James Murray Funeral Directors 1850m Plate where
Dynamic Syndications had the Jason Coyle trained $3.00 second favourite LAMMA HILTON ready to give her best.
Looking a treat in the parade ring and with quality horseman
Blake Spriggs in the saddle, connections were extremely confident their steed would run well, based upon a superb effort at her most recent run, closing in to fill a placing behind
ALL TOO HUIYING at Hawkesbury and that form was franked when
ALL TOO HUIYING won a Stakes Race at Flemington on Thursday.
However, we also were very weary of promising 3yo
SEABABE (Sebring) the favourite for the race, who had raced in Group company her past two starts.
Instructions were simple to Blake, just be where she is comfortable. She is not blessed with early speed so just get her into a rhythm without bustling and she will hit the line hard.
As the horses were being loaded,
racecaller Mitch Manners commented to his listening audience:
“The Dynamic Boys just had the previous winner at Flemington in SAVAPINSKI, so their looking to make it a quick two state double.”
Just 1:55.03 seconds later
we achieved that desired result as LAMMA HILTON gave her peers a lesson in how to be a stayer when coming from 8 lengths off the leader at the 600m to win eased down under hands and heels by over a length.
The Last 600m in 34:43 was very quick considering
LAMMA HILTON was so far back at the 600m, she would have run closer to 33:50 her final 600m.
As Mitch Manners called it: “150m to run LAMMA HILTON after SEABABE (favourite), took the lead now with 75m to go from SEABABE and LAMMA HILTON too good. LAMMA HILTON by a length to SEABABE, three lengths away LADY MONTOYA a clear third.”
Commentator Richard Haynes said: “Blake Spriggs, a patient ride, he told us that’s what he was going to do in the pre-race interview, hope you listened to him and backed this mare, her second win today and she comes away and wins really well, fourth up.
Fellow commentator Gary Harley added: “Yeah rode her patient back in the field, SEABABE the favourite had every possible hope behind the early leader and was held up as much as she could but couldn’t stall off the challenge.”
Blake followed instructions to the letter. After jumping well
LAMMA HILTON drifted back to the tail of the field settling some 8 lengths off the leaders.
The race stayed in this format until the point of the turn.
LAMMA HILTON started to roll forward and swing around the field. As they straightened for the run hone,
LAMMA HILTON made steady progress and at the 200m had made up the 7 lengths, she was off the leaders at the 600m to be now ready to be eyeballing the leader.
At the 150m Blake asked our girl to extend and she quickly got the better of
SEABABE and went on under hands and heels to win by 1.07 lengths x 2.84 lengths.
It was an impressive win by a mare with obvious staying talent.
This was her 4th start for Team Dynamic. We had purchased the mare from the Magic Millions Broodmare Sale in June and then given her a spell.
She had resumed over an unsuitable 1400m before a good effort over 1600m when a close up 3rd at Wyong and then 3rd again over 1800m at Hawkesbury.
Now fit and up to a more suitable 1850m
LAMMA HILTON is getting into her zone and was very impressive winning.
Blake contacted Team Dynamic on his way home advising he thought the run was
“super” and “much better races were in the future” for the staying mare.
Congratulations to the Top Team of Dynamic Owners who race LAMMA HILTON:
