Dynamic Syndications mare LAMMA HILTON (4yo Casino Prince x Georgia Blues) made it back-to-back wins at the Dubbo racecourse on Friday afternoon for her trainer / rider combo Brett Cavanough and jockey Jake Hull.
Lamma Hilton #5 defeats Crim #4 and Wild Caviler #2
Lamma Hilton won Race 5, the Signvision Benchmark 65 Hcp over 1610m at the luscious price of $6.50, running 1:37.27 when posting a 0.32 length win over the $3.40 second favourite Crim, with the $2.50 favourite Wild Cavalier a further 0.12 lengths astern.
Congratulations to our Dynamic Owners and a big thanks to our trainer Brett Cavanough and his team on the good job he has been doing for us and also another big thanks to jockey Jake Hull who has worked out the riding pattern and idiosyncrasies of our mare.
In what panned out as an interestingly run affair, the field jumped evenly, before the riders aboard Crim and Smart Attire got into a two horse battle for the lead and they sprinted away, as if it was the Oakleigh Plate, rushing to a dozen length lead after the field had gone the first 600m.
As the speed battle unfolded, our jockey Jake Hull was giggling, as he allowed our noted backmarker Lamma Hilton to get into her rhythm.
The big margin the leading pair had posted, was causing a few of the jockeys back in the pack to get a little trigger happy and approaching the 600m, they took off to try to reel in the breakaway duo.
Lamma Hilton is at the rear
Jake kept his cool and allowed Lamma Hilton to conserve energy and as a result, our mare was now 3 lengths behind the second last horse as the field swung for home, some 14 lengths from the leaders.

As they balanced, Lamma Hilton was more than 10 lengths off the pace and then, Jake asked our mare to extend. She wound up strongly and came along the inside of the field, as those in front of her fanned wide to look for better going.

Lamma Hilton really got down into her work and sprung wings at the 150m mark and closed in on the leaders to hit the front with 50m to go and forge clear for a clear cut victory.
Lamma Hilton returning to scale
Upon returning to scale, rider Jake Hull was interviewed and said:
Lamma Hilton and Jake Hull
“I expected there to be that much pace in the race, Crim I thought would be suspect at the mile, he got 1400m around Wellington but that’s an easy 1400m there and when they pressed the button that quick out of the gates, I was rubbing my hands together, so I was pretty confident.
“I didn’t go around another runner and I found the right part of the track. I’ve had a few rides today, it’s been quite fair but where I was, I thought was a real good part of the track and it just worked out perfect. They went quick, and then they rolled off at the cut-away and I just had to show a bit of patience. I was quite confident because of her last win, she really attacked the line strong and she’s really going well, (Brett) Cavanough has really done a good job with her.
“I think she can go on and win a few more, the way she is winning, she is pinning her ears back and really trying her heart out and really putting it together at the minute. Mares in form you keep them going, they keep winning races.”
Today’s win took LAMMA HILTON’S record to 31 starts: 4 wins, 2 seconds, 5 thirds and has taken her prizemoney total to $100,050.
Team Dynamic purchased her as a tried horse at the Broodmare sales in May 2017 for just $25,000.
This was a top result for our Owners that are having fun with this handy middle distance mare.
For our team, Lamma Hilton has had 13 starts: 3 wins, 3 thirds and 1 fourth and she has earned $44,980.
She has scored wins at Newcastle over 1850m and twice at Dubbo over 1610m.
She has nicely increased her wins tally and now breaking through the $100,000 ceiling, she has maintained her commercial appeal for when she retires to become a broodmare in the future.
