Placed to perfection and approaching peak fitness fourth up from a spell, trainer Brett Cavanough took Dynamic mare LAMMA HILTON for a drive out to Dubbo for a Sky / TAB Meeting on Saturday so our owners could watch her and have a flutter on their mare.
After being considered a genuine winning hope the start before, that day the young apprentice rode her “upside down” when our back marker mare was taken to the lead on settling.
This time the mare was ridden well by senior jockey Jake Hull and result was a well-deserved win for her Ownership Team. Her career now reads:
LAMMA HILTON (4yo mare Casino Prince x Georgia Blues (NZ))
3 wins, 2 seconds, 5 thirds, 3 fourths & $88,965
Winner at 1610m, 1850m, 2000m
4th Gr3 Adrian Knox S. 2000m
At the Dubbo Turf Club on Saturday 7 July, LAMMA HILTON raced in the Desspos Solutions Class 3 Hcp over 1610m.
Trained by Brett Cavanough at Scone and ridden by Jake Hull, LAMMA HILTON with 58.5kgs ($5.50) defeated Drawn To You 54.0kgs ($16) by 0.49 lens with Killer Miller 54.5kgs ($3.20 Fav) 1.02 lens back in third running 1:37.77.

LAMMA HILTON after the post
Jumping well from barrier 10 of 13, LAMMA HILTON was allowed to find her feet early and she drifted back worse than mid-field, to settle in 10th spot, some 7-8 lengths off the leaders after they had travelled 300m.
The pace was strong early with Lamma Hilton racing solo with 3 back makers behind her, as they made their way down the back straight.
Passing the 1200m, the field had strung out further, with Lamma Hilton now 10 lengths off the speed.
The field stayed in this procession as they passed the 1000m mark and begun to swing out of the back straight and head down the side.
Half way around the circle, at the 650m, jockey Jake Hull started to close up on the leaders but as they bunched, he was forced to travel wide, angling 3 deep then 4 deep, to get off the heels of those in front.
Jake had the back of the favourite Killer Miller as they turned for home, but was forced out 5 deep as they swung when runner up Drawn To You snuck up on our inside. That horse was wayward forcing Lamma Hilton even wider off the track.
With our mare lumping 58.5kgs on her back and spotting Drawn To You 4.5kgs and the favourite Killer Miller 4.0 kgs, giving that favourite weight and a 2 length head start, Lamma Hilton began to wind up down the outside as they passed the 300m.
By the time the field had passed the 200m mark, Lamma Hilton hit the front and was now in control of the race. The big weight pull against her in favour of the eventual runner-up and third placegetter was a telling factor however our mare dug deep and was too classy.
As they passed the 150m, Drawn To You began laying-in under pressure and Lamma Hilton followed it across. Jake had to stop riding and straighten our mare, which he did with ease and once balanced again, our mare extended well to win eased down by a widening half-length margin.
LAMMA HILTON recorded Dynamic Syndications 51st race win for the 2017-18 Racing season, which keeps us on target with 3 weeks remaining, to reach our personal goal of 52 wins in a season to equal a winner a week.
Purchased for just $25,000 as a tried horse in June 2017, LAMMA HILTON had her first start for our Dynamic team of owners on the 28th September.
Since then, in just 10 months LAMMA HILTON has raced 12 times for 2 wins (Newcastle & Dubbo), 3 thirds and 1 fourth and earned $34,295 and she is now approaching peak fitness for this preparation. We have better class races in mind for this mare over the coming weeks.
