Another winner for
boom young trainer BRAD WIDDUP and Team Dynamic as MIAMI DADE scores a comfortable win the Benchmark 70 1600m at Scone on Tuesday afternoon.
MIAMI DADE wins at Scone 9/8/17
Ridden by Brad’s brother-in-law
Christian Reith, MIAMI DADE was turned out looking a treat for this assignment and was given the perfect ride by Christian as
the pair scored an effortless victory in the PRYDE'S EASIFEED Bm70 Hcp over 1600m.
Asked to lump the steadier of
60.5kgs, he gave them weight and a beating, coming from 5th on the turn and ambled up to the leaders and went on to score eased down recording
a 0.83 length margin over Miss Tickles (55.0kgs) x a further 1.59 lengths back to Crossing Guard in third with Lucky I’ma Cugat (54.5kgs) in fourth. The race was run in 1:38.81 coming home in 35.23 secs.
MIAMI DADE was third up for Brad Widdup and Team Dynamic, after we purchased him from the Godolphin dispersal sale held by the Magic Millions on the Gold Coast on June 8.
MIAMI DADE resumed over an unsuitable 1300m at Warwick Farm on a Saturday 8 July, where he led them up before running out of petrol.
Second up over 1550m at Canterbury on 26 July he put in a good effort until condition gave out over the final 150m when finishing behind Special Missile in
Class Record time.
We had accepted with him in the
FORBES CUP to be run on Monday 7 August but an awkward draw helped us decide to scratch and head to
Scone and it was certainly the right decision.
Here in this Benchmark 70, despite the big weight
MIAMI DADE was a couple of classes above his peers on paper and won in what was not much more than a track gallop.

At the 200m At the 300m
Credit to Christian Reith who judged the pace perfectly from the barrier when he took hold and worked across to get the perfect one out, one back spot, tracking the other fancied runners in the race.
The pair travelled exceptionally well to the point of the turn where Christian angled
MIAMI DADE to the outside of the field and let him roll home, despite giving away fitness and weight to his peers.
