Caulfield trainer Mick Price recorded another
Moe Cup success after his polished imported galloper
Count Of Limonade dug deep in a strong performance to claim the $135,000 feature.

Mick Price had previously won the Moe Cup with Chattanooga (2003) and Captious (2007) and now Count Of Limonade recorded the trainers third victory in the prestigious event.
Count Of Limonade had displayed ability with two trial wins but had not placed in his four previous race starts in Australia. Those races had all been on good tracks and the horse found the hardness of those tracks not to his liking.
However in yesterday’s event, the son of Coolmore Stud sire Duke Of Marmalade found a slow track for the first time since arriving in Australia and according to jockey Glen Boss, that proved the difference, as he broke through thanks to a top ride by the pilot.
Boss sent Count Of Limonade forward from barrier 14 and made his own luck being able to settle the just behind the speed.
Then as they swung for home, Boss then angled Count Of Limonade to the middle of the track to make his run.
The runner-up Prince Of Penzance tried hard but the Mick Price galloper Count Of Limonade scored by a long neck.
"Today was the first time he’s been on a soft track under race conditions and he revelled in it,” Boss old TVN.
"He was there, willing and he wanted to do it.”
The $2.80 favourite Kenjorwood settled back in the field after leading last time out but couldn’t pick up the difference in the straight finishing third, 2-½ lengths from the winner.
