Yes – its winter but before too long the
2yo season will be upon us. Last week we dropped in to see our yearling filly by
MORE THAN READY / VINTEDGE being trained by GAI WATERHOUSE
after she had returned to the spelling paddock having just completed her second round of education, pre-training and foundation work, progressing through the system, being taught to maximise her enormous potential.
A high quality filly with looks to match, she is really starting to take shape nicely and develop into a classical looking thoroughbred with excellent size and scope.

144th individual Stakes Winner. Importantly,
GAI has trained his absolute best – MORE JOYOUS & SEBRING.
Impressively - our filly is the first foal daughter of wonderful racemare
VINTEDGE (by FLYING SPUR).
VINTEDGE won 6 races from 1400m to 2000m including the VRC Matriarch Stakes and NJC Tibby Stakes LR and earned $610,210.
Our filly’s educational programme and two stints at training has certainly worked and the filly is delighting everyone associated with her.
You know straight away you put them under saddle, those that are intelligent, quick to learn and move with an easy flowing action – and those that don’t. We have very high hopes for this wonderful filly.

What is impressing our team the most is the way she is growing, the strength she carries and the way he’s changing shape. She has dropped a significant amount of early excess weight and toned up nicely to develop the classical thoroughbred shape.
